I have no idea if anyone can help me, but this is one of the friendliest/helpful boards I've come across, so I know if you can help, you will.

My concern is that I've been rolling my own cigarettes for about 5 years now - I'm at the point that factory-made cigarettes are pretty repulsive to me. I've decided to switch to the ecig and have a kr808(and ce cartomizers) on the way. My concern is that I'm used to Samson roll-ups and have no idea what juice might approximate that taste.

Given that, does anyone have a suggestion for a starter ejuice?

Flavor. Vapor. Quality. See why Johnson Creek is America's Smoke Juice.

I can't help you because I don't know what "Samson" tastes like. Just hang on though. I'm sure people will be suggesting that you smoke waffles, skittles, nyquil, or hershey bars. It never fails.....

Thank you for a reply - much appreciated.

I didn't realize that the flavor wasn't clear...to me it's a light toasted tobacco (not sweet, no additives that I'm aware of). I don't know how to describe it other than to contrast it to the chemical taste of 'pack' tobacco. It's a bit cleaner (?) in flavor. I don't think it's how tobacco tastes straight off the farm, but close?maybe?

And I'd think they'd suggest I was the strongest man in the world, so any 50mg would be a-ok until I cut my hair.

I would suggest ( sample size only) wyatt earp from freedomsmokeusa. I would also suggest that you keep it in the refrigerator because their flavors seem to lose their umph rapidly

WOW! I thought I was nuts!!! I would NOT recommend 50mG!!! Even to start! I vaped 48mG ONCE to see what would happen and my legs and feet went numb! (seriously...)

I used to roll Rave, and it was a sweet, non-chemical tasting tobacco, so I know where you're starting from. My favorites are mostly from VT vapor; I lost track of what e cig you're using, but I like their Tobacco, Cafe Au Lait and Mocha the best. Their Mint is SWEEEET (I mean, Sugary...) and the ChocoMint tastes like a thin mint.

I also use Lite-Cig "Desert Ship" (DeKang camel) and Turkish blend, but invariably mix it with the Vt Vapor flavors. Another good one I have found was High Caliber Cafe Espresso, can't remember where I got it. I usually make a mix of Vt Vapor Tobacco, Cafe Au Lait, and Mocha, throw in a few drops of "Desert Ship" and come close to a Camel Turkish Royal, a kind of "choclatey" tasting cigarette. Close enough it's SCARY! Sometimes I throw in a few drops of the Cafe Espresso to add some 'body' (it's a strong vape by itself) and then top it off with about 30% Venom 48mG flavorless to give it a kick. Works well enough to get me off tobacco ALMOST completely, I have 2-3 cigs a day still. The flavors of the Vt Vapor seem to come through better than anything else I have tried; a lot of the other PG flavors taste 'perfumey' to me.

So, if I mix 12 drops each of the VT Vapor and Lite Cig "Camel", add 6 drops of Espresso, that's 60 drops of Tobacco, Cafe Au Lait, Mocha, Vanilla, and Desert Ship, and 5 drops of Espresso makes 65 drops, and to that I add about 20-25 drops of the 48mG flavorless. It makes a kick-butt combo that tastes really good and only makes my toes go numb...

PS: the Tobacco all by itself is really, really good. Vt Vapor has the best flavors I have tried yet.

No, they do NOT pay me!

Oh. A KR808 and CE2 Carts. The flavor come through REALLY good on the CE2's, that's what I'm using. Fill the bottom with an "EZ Fill Tool" (can't call it a 'syringe' in Mass...) and then drip a couple drops right on the coil and enjoy the taste!

I started mixing to get different tastes. My favorite Tobacco is still VT Vapor's. It's the closest tobacco flavor I have found yet, and I have tried a LOT! Almost all my mixes start out with it.

Steampunk (I don't think I know you well enough to call you "steamy" - next post maybe...) - thank you for your advice. I've never smoked the same tobacco, but the idea is similar, so it's a good starting point. I was thinking something from vaporrenew, but it sounds like VT would be the place to start.

Rose: I'll put "Wyatt Earp" on my list to try.-thanks for the fridge advice. BTW, does that hold true for all ejuices or just that one?

And just to clarify, I've got girl parts (and proud of them).

Thank you - as a total noob, any help is very much appreciated.

Didn't care for it too much. Dihelas (or however he spells it) hit it on the head...it tastes like a Shortbread cookie. The Espresso was OK, but even the Flue Cured tobacco tasted like a cookie!

Please, don't call him steamy! No telling what that would lead to! Don't totally rule out Johnson Creek as a juice supplier to try. I may have been the one that assumed you were male. They are the vapers that usually find their way here. Alot of car and battery talk.

YMMV. I started off full bore, 30mL, 36mG and never looked back! I had heard so many good things about them, and also didn't want foreign made PG juice because ONE manufacturer was using antifreeze grade!!!

VT Vapor lists the ingredients on the web site, and the Tobacco has no PG at all. The only time they use PG is what comes in the flavoring. I made a post here the other day; I know a manager at a convenience store, and he made the mistake of telling me the flavorings they use for the coffee are in a PG base...

Anyone for Mixed Berry? (it was just OK...French Vanilla was too sweet...)

I would recommend a sample pack, or a couple 3mL bottles to start, since (I thinK) all they have are 30mL bottles. I loved it right off the bat. Depending on where in NY you are, it should get there quick. I am in Western Mass and it takes 2-4 days.

Sorry, but I'm from the NYC part of NY, so MA is a bit of a trip for all concerned (but flirting is always encouraged).

Haven't written anyone off (other than vendors that seem way too skeezy for the board) - so if someone recommended anything from anywhere reliable that would keep the switchover relatively painless, I'm in.

You actually made a pretty good choice for a starter if you were a heavy smoker. The 808 is a heavy hitter with good vapor and a decent flavor, and the CE2 enhances that. The other thing I would recommend would be a pass thru and a USB wall adapter at 2amps to power the thing. That way you're not swapping and charging batteries all the time. A pass thru lasts me about a year, and I am a HEAVY hitter.

(PS...I meant the juice from Vt Vapor! I can get to NYC in a heartbeat! )

Simple Life, welcome to the forum.
For a very "tobacco-y" flavor anything labeled "Flue cured". If you see "French pipe"
is very rich W/ a touch of indeterminate sweet/fruit maybe a very light peach hint.
Anything labeled cuban or Havana are pretty good tobacco-y juices not necessarily cigar but pretty solid flavor . You might try 555(the tres cincos) in my signature, it's one of my favorite tobaccos. Good luck SL, bikes

I find it hard to judge if I'm a heavy smoker as my roll-ups use half size filters (normally I use zen super slim filters) and smoke about 20 a day - so heavy smoker?

40bikes - thank you for the welcome and the advice...I think for my first order (after the initial 808 kit+juice), I'll look into the flavors you've mentioned.

Steampunk - western MA, right? northampton or pittsfield (or farther west)...?

20 a day...I was doing a pack in 24 hours and I considered myself 'heavy'. Oh, wait...I AM heavy!

I have lived all over the state, one end to the other. Pittsfield and Lenox when I was younger, and Northampton is in my "territory" (I'm a Dell factory rep for Western Mass)
I'm in Noho almost every day. Amherst all the time because of the colleges.
I'm near the VT border on the Conn. River...

I like thevaporroom cotton candy 24 mg. It does have the kick I need at times. Now I was a heavy smoker at two to three packs a day. I found after the first week the tabbaco flavors were err just not yummy. Also if you are filling your own carts ager the juice is in let it sit for a lil bit. Don't waste em like I did burning it right off the bat.
Also I am getting ecto plasma. From the ghost budgets. I can't wait. I would also recommend 24 mg of nic or so..

i found when i quit smoking and started vaping that no tobacco flavor out there satisfied me. especially "flue-cured" so i went off in a completely different direction and started sampling off the wall flavors, fruit flavors, and anything else that sounded good. i havent really been let down at all. i wouldnt say that the juices sucked, all were good but some were too weak IMO. i made up for my cravings of tobacco with vaping over powering high nicotine juices. i started on 36, then quickly went down to 24mg. i'd say my normal vape these days is anything between 18-24mg. i have some reviews up on youtube of flavor i have tried, but nothing on tobacco. i have heard that there are some good cuban flavors out there, and one friend in my meets recomends 555 as a tobacco flavor that most people will can take to.

i would recomend lecig.com's vapriot line, tastyvapor.us, juicyvapor.com, eliquidplanet.coms' essence line, and mstsbakery.com

its hard to be disapointed with anything US made, but there are some good imported juices out there as well. madvapes.com somtimes has deals on tobacco flavors in 50ml bottles for 10-13 bucks, but you might get stuck with ungodly juice. try buying a few sample packs of juice from various vendors, you'll find somthing you like. if for any reason you get stuck with somthing you dont like let people know here on the forum, there are always people willing to try new things and wheel and deal. good luck.
