First, be careful. You have the red lead in the Amps jack.
An accident could short out a mod.

In the upper right side of the dial is a DCV range.
Do not try and use the AMPS range or the battery test, that is for regular batteries, not Li-ion cells.

The DCV range will read DC volts and automatically change ranges for you, like to the 20 volt range for a mod.
Put the red lead in the right hand jack labeled V, and the black lead in the center jack. Double check, DCV range on switch, red lead in right hand jack, black lead in center jack.

Touch the black lead to the shell of the atty connector and the red lead to the center pin on the atty connector. Wrap a little tape around the red lead point so it does not accidentally touch the shell. It might slip. Hit the vape button on the VV mod. and it should read the voltage.

Ytou can download the manual here:

I just finished reading a book, logged into vapeatron and saw your thread.
Bet you can't guess the title of the book

Use DCV range to test Li-ion cells. The battery test is for flashlight batteries like AA, AAA, B, D, and 9V, and the 12 volt little ones.

Just thought it was strange that I stayed up late and finished the book just before logging in. (read the title of the thread)
