| Here i go after spending .. hours/day reading post and trying to figure it out i think i got it but rather ask and get right answer vs buying carts that wont work for me.
It's about ohms and voltage, i know there is a lot of post explaining but trying to make it more simple for me to under stand.
So what im seeing is ohms running form 1.5 - 5.o ohms and wow that seams like a huge gap and know what one to pick. I guessing it maters what kind of battery your using and what kind of volts it puts out?
The next thing i see is Low resistance VS high resistance Vs Duel/trio coils? Can duel or sing coils be low or high resistance?
So whats the rule of what batteries can use what?
Trying to find how to match the best battery to addy or cart. How much rang do i have to play with before im just going to destroy the carts or batters if that possible?
Some type of batteries should never take HV or LV or duel coils?
This part is more personal if i end up getting for example the infinity pro. Since is VV unit is there a high and low Ohms i should avoid?
I know there are a lot of ??? in there but don't mind experimenting because i kind find it fun but want to make sure i don't mix and match something that's dangerous or will destroy my units. |

The standard Joye 510 has a 2.8-3 ohm atomizer. A standard Joye battery puts out ~3.7V, so the calculation is simple using Ohm's law: Volts/ohms=amps. With the "standards" above, 3.7/2.8=~1.3A. NOW, multiply 1.3x3.7 to give you 4.88 Watts. THIS is the number we're looking for. It's easier to rate by Watts than anything else.
Most people here tend to hover around 7-9 watts, some like more. If you have a 1.5 ohm Dual Coil Carto, then 3.7/1.5=~2.5 amps, for 9 Watts! That's a bit! With a 2 ohm carto, that's 1.85 amps for ~7 watts.
NOW, there's a caveat here. You don't want to drain a battery too fast, which lower ohm cartos do, because it makes the protection circuit think there's a short, and it will either not fire the carto, burn something out or worst case, drain the battery TOO far TOO fast and <BOOM>! So a bigger battery is in order! The larger batteries can handle the drain better, generally using 900maH or higher is recommended for anything under 2.5 ohms.
Depending on what you already have (I can't remember...) you either want to stick with 2.5-3 ohm cartomizers/atomizers, or invest in a bigger battery and use a lower resistance carto.
Like we were all TRYING to tell CC in the other thread you started, what works BEST is what works for YOU! I like 2-2.5 ohm cartos on a BIG battery; I can vape all day without running out!

that is a link to a post dealing a lot with wattage, voltage and ohms
Ingeneral egos and below dont really like the low low res stuff, the ego will use dual coils, but this practice pushes the ego to the limit.
ill put more in in a sec lol.. |

| i got 2 ego-t ( gave one away to some that want to try it with 3 atma and juice)
but realy its because i'm looking to get a new one like i said so far the infinity is on top of my list but not 100% sure on it.. Would love to mix and match that would work on both since i dont think work would be friendly with the bigger unit
Guess i just want to make sure i i dont do anything thats a big NO NO ..
and i would of never guess that egos dont like low res stuff.. is there a rang of ohms that would be low and high.. or am i just off on how i am thinking about it
wow.. that link rock.. so i can have higher volts and as long as i have higher ohms on the cart will give me med sized wattage.. thought i clicked on all the sticky and read them but missed a very good one

The lower ohm like 1.5 get hotter. So if you like your vapes on the warm to hot side, you will like the lower ohms and yes, both dual and single coils have a range of ohms to choose from. The lower ohms and dual coils will however drain the life of your battery compared to higher ones. As far as using dual coils on regular ego style batts or 900mAh or up, I would say use at your own risk. I, as well as others, have completely killed ego type batts inside a month with dual coils where others do just fine with them and use for months. So IDK there. For me, I don't risk my reg batts with DCs. The only VV I have right now is the infinity IPro but I'm sure it is the same as other VV mods in that it really doesn't matter what ohm carto you use as you can adjust it to meet your needs. Your can make a higher ohm carto act like a lower one. Therefore, all the ranges work well on one as you can adjust it to where you like. But like steam said, you have to find what works for you, many like colder vapes so it goes down to personal preference. This is also good with VV mods as if you like them colder, you adjust downward or hotter, turn it up... much of the beauty of VVs... |

Big nonos are using low res on high volts, or using them dry, also using small batts as in smaller then a ego would killem quicker, but bigger the batt, the better the vape no mater what..
and i would of never guess that egos dont like low res stuff.. is there a rang of ohms that would be low and high.. or am i just off on how i am thinking about it
i would not go below 2 ohms on a ego my self, but alot love to go with a dual coil on one, and i have done it, that is about 1.5 ohms, and that will make it go quicker.. But i dont mind lol..

Yep, that is how it works, i love 3 ohms on 6 to 6.5 volts, single coil boge.. that is my sweet spot, but if you find yours you can use the wattage factor to find it again, say i run out of 6 volt mods, and all i have is a 3.7 big batt mod, what ohm do i need for my vape? theres a chart for that.. lol |

Not sure about the others, but I know with the ipro you can chose the connection you want so 510, IMO would be the better choice as you will have more to choose from in attys/cartos/tanks...
I used LR single coil boges on my ego-t without any problems... however, when I used dual coils 1.5 ohm.... I killed my 2 new batts in less than a month |

But that's just me...
