Hello people, i'm wondering if e-cigs increase the user nicotine consumption, because they are easy to smoke everywhere, don't smell, do mess up with your health, etc...

Do you 'smoke' more now than before e-cigs?
hugs

I seem to "smoke" more (always vaping), not sure about my nicotine consumption:

Before - Camel Turkish Silvers: 1mg nicotine each? Less?
40/day x 1mg x 30 days= 1200mg

Vaping - 24mg liquid
2ml/day x 24mg/ml x 30 days= 1440mg

But I've read somewhere that you absorb <100% of the nic from vaping.

Tandera, I don't know that it's easier to smoke "everywhere", there's still too many ignorant people in the workplace, restaurants, etc to make that possible currently, hopefully someday but not yet. But it is easier to smoke at home in private and because it's a cooler smoke, definitely more enjoyable I should think and possibly more frequent, not tearing at your throat and lungs. But unlike with tobacco cigs, you can control exactly how much nic you want as they come in different nic strengths all the way to no nic. If one is really concerned this could lead to more nicotine consumption then there is a way around that too. Vaping flavors can help lower the mg's you use. In other words, if you vape a favorite flavor, like mint, coffee, vanilla or whatever you prefer, there's a bunch of flavors out there, you can lower the nic content and still feel satisfied because the flavor itself will stimulate the pleasure center of the brain. Hope this helps you if you are concerned vaping will lead to more enjoyment and therefore more nic consumption.
P.S. As soon as tobacco cigs reduce their nic content to comply with the new U.S. tobacco law, peeps are going to be smoking twice as many cigs to get their nic fix (at twice the amount of $$) and over 8,000 chemical additives along with that so it would seem to the discerning smoker/vaper that eCigs are the more intelligent choice.

Analogs.....35 X1.1mg = 38.5mg/day

Vaping.....4.35mg X 23mg strength = 100mg/day

I don't care how you calculate it, for me it's still "Yup".
Vape more, sorry.

Of course that's what the tobacco industry found out when they tried to trick us with ultra-lights. Everyone just smoked more of them. Do you think that will happen again wilh the new and improved FDA brand of cigarettes coming soon to a CVS pharmacy near you?
Vape more? Yup. I do.

This took a bit of thought and calculation for me. Please check the fuzzy math. I have been a very heavy smoker for years so switching seems to have some benefits.

Marl 50x1MG=50MG per day (yes 2.5 packs of med. 100's)
3ML 50/50 mix 18MG and 24MG= 21MG/ML or 63MG per day.

I guess I am consuming slightly more nicotine than before, but considering I am avoiding 13x50=650MG tar per day I don't feel too bad about it.

"Marl 50per day (yes 2.5 packs of med. 100's)

3ml of 18 to 24 I think makes you a "medium" vaporer (doing pretty good for a 2+ pack a day smoker).
Getting close to 5ml of this strength and you are a serious vaporer, (I would try to cut back a little).
Over 5ml a day, and/or 36mg/ml and you are a "vaporhog"(no hope for you )
It takes about 3ml to keep the atomizer wet and vape during the day.
Hopefully we can get to 3ml a day of 6 to 10mg/ml stuff. That seems like a good goal. Quitting would be better but I don't see that happening soon.

I noticed i was vaping more than Id smoke, so i tend to water down my mixtures with more glycerin and flavor. I can still vape as much as i want to and not worry as much about taking in more nicotine than i would normally.

I used to smoke 1-1.5 packs of Marlboro lights per day.

Now I vape 1.5-2ml of 18 & 24 mg juice/ day.

I think that I am in maintenance ATM. Will cut down to 9-11mg juice soon. Prolly stay at the same amt. Can's see cutting down on vape ammount yet, just the mg level.
