Handed Over To Customs Should I be worried?

I everyone, we placed our first order from China to USA over a week ago and I'm worried because the last thing showing in the EMS tracking info reads....

2009-05-27 14:44:00 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA USSFOA Handed over to Customs

It's now 4 days so I think we are stuck and out the money.

Because we've never order wondering if EMS would give any tracking info beyond the "handed over to customs" or not.

Hope it gets through or we lose our cash. Likely our first and last order from CHina.

Happened to me. EMS updated status after my order sat in Customs for about 3 days. and it came in the next day after it cleared. EMS seems to be treated like Express Mail by the U.S. Postal Service (after Customs lets go).
Hope your order wasn't GIANT-SIZED, that might be a problem.

Everything coming from china gets handed over to customs,freaked me out to the first time i saw that lol

Most suppliers from China will refund your money if customs refuses entry for the package, since the package is usually returned to them anyways.

I had a similar experience, 4 days in customs and then it cleared. I would not freak out just yet.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, shipments from China get held up for a week or more as many of mine have.

You might want to check with USPS ... they track EMS packages and are usually are more up-to-date after the package leaves China.

Just received my latest order from China, jumped on the website for EMS and it says it is still at JFK!
I wouldn't put too much faith in them updating the site in a timely manner.

When ever i order from china I ask the shipper to lable the package PC parts.. And it works...

I have this friend "Ralph" that sends me stuff from China all the time.
Sometimes it a gift, or a 'Music Box'.

not really Ralph, just a little joke between me and the postman. I also get a lot of stuff via ebay (NOT E-CIG).

In the long run this is probably hurting us, and I promise never to do it again.
