I was reaching behind the PA to turn it off this evening, and while "seeking" the power button I must have hit one of the screws in the back, and the only thing I can think of is that it is a screw used to mount one of the power transistors to the heatsink, and my forearm near the elbow was resting on a metal part of the case of THE SAME UNIT and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZINGO!

It's a Behringer. I have a Behringer bass amp. Nice sound, but Behringer stuff is not known for durability and they have LOTS of "Engineering Changes". I think I found one!
