Mike at www.lecig.com get menthol ejuice, cartomisers, and pigcig kit, for a cheap price cause of the sale going on right now.. You wont regret it.. plus if you stick around here were going to make ya crazy with all the info. But it would be the best thing for you, soon to be wife, and kid...

It's the cartridge or the juice you're using that sets the flavor. Anty "model" will work just fine! But menthol seems to be a funny thing to get right, so you may not be pleased.

When all else fails I get Vt Vapor juice to load my cartos. It's a bit more, but 9 times out of 10 it TASTES like what it says it is. YMMV.

I would also skip the "starter" kits until you're not sure it's right for you. So, instead of starting out with a lot of money for a kit, get a disposable first. They're ~$10, they last 2-3 days and give you an idea of what vaping is like. You're still beating cigs and not getting heavily invested along the way. 711 sells the NJOY which some people...um....DO, and some truck stops sell an RN4041, IIRC (by a different name) for ~$39, but I have tried one and it works well.

I've heard something about menthol crystals? how are those applied? also, what is the difference between horizontal coil and anything else?

Well there a crystal , like granulated sugar, that you would<not the sugar> drop in to your e juice, one crystal is enough for a 1 oz or 30 mill bottle of juice i am told..

Now the horixontal coil is literally at the bottom of the carto, from left to right, most common cartos are vertical coil, difference is how well they are susposed and do wick the ejuice to the coil, I havent tryed the horizontal coils, but in my head haveing less exposure to the surrounding poly fill containing the ejuice, means more burning... and yes that is a taste you will find out about by accident bro.

Not necessarily. It's a personal preference. I prefer the honkers because I can top it off at night with 40-60 drops, and I'm good to go till I go to bed the next night. Before them, I was topping off 2-3 times a day.

The jazzcartopipe is positively gorgeous! I have one on our front table just for decoration. I've never used it. I was going to send it to my brother, but DH liked it so much, he wouldn't let me. ( No, he doesn't vape - he just likes the looks of it.)

See... There's a perfect example of right for one may not be right for another. I don't like a hot vape. That first drag is always the best for me.
