So, I have some flavorless e-liquid and some Lorann flavoring. (I know there is better but this is what I have around the house) How many drops or mls should I start with in say 10ml of e-liquid?

I tryed making 3mls of watermelon the other day and well lets just say I'm glad it was only 3ml.

Thanks

Don't toss it out, I put all my mistakes into one bottle and if you don't dilute it too much it is still smokeable. I think about 30 drops from a small dropper (like the JC sample bottle) is about 1ml. A flavor ratio of 1:20 (about 5%) should be OK. 4 drops in 3ml would be a good starting point. That would be about 4:90 or close. I like the watermelon (Lorann is just fine to me). The Cherry and Strawberry vape well also. All 3 are water soluble flavorings and pretty safe for your atomizer.

Its all up to your taste. Start with a few drops and work your way to your taste.. thats what I do.. I also mix it with my PG then add it to the tasteless.. The tasteless is just for the nic..

A precise analysis of my 'Pot Luck' bottle of mistakes:
About 5ml of Chocolate 24mg from e-smokeytreats,
about 5ml of Cherry 36mg from China,
about 5 ml of 24mg apple (didn't like) from ebay before they took it off,
part of a bottle of Lorann Cherry, part of a bottle of Strawberry, few drops of Grape,
about 10ml of the previous 'Pot Luck' mixture left in the bottle, probably about 18mg,
10ml of Turkish Blended 36mg from China,
about 1ml clear vanilla extract,
filled to about 50ml total volume with VG from Hobby Lobby.
Total about 50ml of juice between 18 and 20mg/ml.
Tastes EXACTLY like some of the above flavors.
Occasionally tastes like some of the other flavors above.
Generally quite good.

Rocketman...Sorry man, that sounds a bit fruity-tooty. But you guys inspired me to take some of the not so great vanilla's nic juice(36mg) cut with vg and toss in some quality Vanilla from the cabinet. Wow it was great!

PG- I know you can buy it on-line and passably in drugstores...What's it for? I mean the food grade version? The druggist asked me what I wanted it for and I had to make up some...well you know. I didn't feel like explaining the whole thing right then. Rocketman, where do you live, if I make some nasty fruitytooty liquid you want it? What going on with the FDA these days anyways. Sorry that's for a different post.

PS am I the only idiot that writes his post/cuts and pastes it to a word program to spell check it and then does everything in reverse

Fruity-tooty huh? PG is used much like VG (for baby bottoms). When mixing some food recipes either can be used to blend ingredients since they both have the ability to be mixed somewhat with water based and oil based (like cooking oil) products. Put your mistakes in the fridge. The flavor can be diluted but it still has a level of NIC in it. Really fruity tasting 18mg/ml can be cut to 6mg/ml with PG or VG and the flavor will be almost gone. It can be used as VG or. PG itself and won't dilute your mix as much as 0 NIC. The math doesn't have to be exact, I can't really tell the difference between 16 and about 20mg.
The 'Pot Luck' bottle goes well for friends and family. Keeps them out of my personal stash .
I updated another of my posts somewhere on my order from China for 36mg/ml juice.
(spell check- why)

I like your attitude RM Toss it in the frige, hee hee and don't waste the nic.

I made a few experiments and tossed them, but then realized I was wasting some good nic juice.

My latest sucess was a great rum flavor, cant put most of my stuff in a cart, cause it will gunk things up because the flavoring has corn syrup in it, but a couple of drops on an atty and you are good to go. Try dripping or dipping on an atty without the cart, for a few good pokes.

Most of my recipes are 20% unflavored nic juice (36 or 48) with PG
20% VG
10% Vodka or other ethyl alcohol to thin the VG
20% PG
30% flavoring of choice (No nic) McCormick's Rum, Almond, etc. works fine

I mostly make 3.5ml bottles to try them out.

Walgreens makes a breath mint drops that I boil out the bottles and use them.

Laz,
Thanks for the tip on the breath mint bottles, forgot all about them. The little JC asmple bottles with the dropper (3.7ml) is what I usually carry. The dropper can get down along side the cart filler and mostly refill it.
Your formula may mislead someone.
Did you mean 30% flavored "NIC" of your choice? 30% flavoring might be too much?
If the only NIC in your mix is the 20% unflavored 48 then the 100% NIC level will be about 10mg/ml.
If the 30% flavored is 36mg/ml then the total with the 48 added will be about 20mg/ml.
I also like to blend the PG and VG. Really can't detect any negative taste when mixed. Some don't like PG. A little VG helps that.
Lets see, after I cut the 120ml just received, and the 240ml in the fridge, oh and the 2 remaining JC 10 bottle samplers, I woon't need to order any juice until August.
Well, maybe jst a little more before then.

The flavorings I have used have no nic, but are mfg. with PG mostly, so some additional PG is in the mixture.

The VG gives me the pillows of vapor I want and adds a little sweetness to the toke.

I like a stong hit, but if the 30% flavoring also was like 36mg nic...watch out

Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

Really, baby bottoms, that's funny stuff RM...And even funnier is that I don't think you kidding. So, I should look for PG near the diapers? and I want to smoke this sh....Vodka... I like that, Lazarus.
This just occurred to me, I have some buddies that have made tinctures with VG. I wonder if we, I could do the same. Maybe use, like tea, or fresh mint, whatever? Is this dumb? Possibly put a touch of Everclear in with the VG to help the extraction process.
Wow, I just had even crazier idea... If the FDA turns out to be not so friendly to the e-cig thing... What about VG with Everclear and a natural tobacco, like American Spirit. Or some home grown tobacco. Really I do mean tobacco... OH, shoot, there would be tar in it then.
O'well,
Thanks guys I'm learning a lot, and so are my fellow coworkers, I think they want me to shut up.

I didn't , that was earlier in the thread, by someone else. I don;t think it's available anymore. The highest I get is 36mg/ml.

Check out my posts in other threads on my Chinese order for 120ml of 36mg/ml for $50 total, My DIY battery mod I took on vacation, and my newest: How to mix down your juice.

VapeMeister claims to be the only supplier of 48mg. His website says he is currently out of stock. Got mine about a week ago, it really puts the hammer down. I use it to spike a cart with a couple of drops when I am looking for a big hit. I also mix it with my own concoctions of PG, VG and no nic flavorings.

Laz,
thanks, I have bookmarked the site and will watch for the 48.
Go ahead and list them on the e-liquid supplier thread if you haven't already.
How was the price?

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if i'm in the right forum here but I'd like to ask, is it possible to add some flavorings to a pre-mixed e-liquid? I just started vaping recently and not really ready to make my own juice. Not yet, at least. I do want to add a few drops of flavorings to the e-liquid i ordered.

Laz;
I'll have to get the reinforced / armored atomizer before I try that stuff straight

Newbie;
Yup. generally add 5% of the volume or LESS. Your NIC level will be reduced slightly by the ratio of the change in volume. N2=N1(V1/V2)
