Well on Monday Aug 17th the judge will decide the verdict for the case...Lets all cross our fingers!!! What does everyone think the verdict will be???

I just want to know how long it will be before they get approved as a safer smoking alternative. I can't see them staying legal without some kind of official approval.

Ya thats what im thinking. I read where it costs about $250,000 plus to get this thing going with the FDA, and that is per company. HMMMM!!! Im so beyond furious about this.

I seem to recall either nJoy or SE stating in reference to their suit with the FDA that approval as a drug delivery device would take 8 years and cost over a billion dollars.

I've been reading the daily docket update over at ECF, and I think that's where I read it. I can't find it again, as the thread is over 60 pages long.

From what I've read, it doesn't look good for us...

One thing for sure, they won't be able to claim these two sellers have utilized false advertising, or unscrupulous trade practices.

Maybe we should all just force a 'smile'.

One way around this whole thing would be for these e-cig companies to quit selling e-cig starter kits per say. How could the FDA stop them from making batteries or atomizers, chargers or just parts in general. Selling these items as just parts. If then the individual decides to assembly these parts into an e-cig who could stop you from doing so? As far as the juice goes it's the same for them. If LorrAnns can sell there products why cant the juice companies do the same and once again if an individual wants to use these juices in there assembled parts contraption so be it. Obviously it's not illegal to sell nicotine or the tobacco companies would be out of business.
These are just some thoughts, please don't hang me if my facts are wrong. This is just about worst case thinking anyway. I for one hopes the FDA see this as a better alternative to smoking real cig's along with everyone else.

I know there is a lot more to all this and I know I don't have all my facts straight but maybe if enough ideas get thrown out there, we may be able to find a work around if all else fails.

I understand that we need some regulation other words some will do some thing stupid, but how hard is it for the Gov. to say "They are better for you then cigarette".
