I guess Fasttech is doing what they can. In the message "lithium battery" is a question I have been asked all the time, in my friendly local neighborhood post office. Whenever I communicate Fasttech, I'm a Chinese version, there is no intention to insult, but to make their own understanding (though probably not the best translation)
I'll say...

Check your tracking number in a week...if it hasn't moved anywhere...you'll have your answer.

This is the correct link!

Basically, FT has been trying to circumvent shipping bans by wrapping batteries in aluminum foil in an attempt to evade scans.

They've been allowing customers to buy batteries KNOWING that there's a very good chance that they either won't make it to their destinations or they'll be returned to them.

In any case, if you're going to buy batteries from FT at this point....you may as well burn your money! Cuz you might never get your batts and you might not get a refund.
Yes. Since they have been wrapping them in foil, the orders have been going through fine. Not saying it is the right thing to do but, it is working for them.

At least it has for the people that I have talked to.

I've only read one member actually getting them wrapped in foil....everybody else is playing the waiting game or have filed chargebacks thru PP.

They probably got caught doing the foil snafu and why they can't ship anything now thru snail mail.

Hell, they're selling stuff that they don't even HAVE in their possession!!

They're running pre-orders now on a bunch of new stuff.....(i.e. Not in stock)

Maybe they did get caught. Especially since people have talked about it all over the web.

The last order that I placed was a small one but I did get it in 2 weeks. No batteries though.

Hong Kong Post took my package they shipped on Sept 18th. The conservation is cut and pasted below. I will update as conservation progresses to whatever resolution.

Sorry about the wait.

To safeguard aviation security, Hongkong Post does not accept the sending of air mail items (including Speedpost) that contain dangerous articles such as perfumery products, lighters and lithium batteries. Hence, all mail items entering the Air Mail Centre are subject to x-ray screening. Recently, there is an increasing number of air mail items detected to contain suspected dangerous articles, in particular, lithium batteries, which lengthens the screening process. In this connection, air mail registration service, iMail service and Bulk Air Mail service may be subject to delay. Any inconvenience caused is much regretted.

Source: http://www.hongkongpost.hk/eng/publi...910a/index.htm

FastTech confirms that all battery airmail packages are being affected at this time. This includes HKP/USPS, and Singapore Post.

Here is what's happening:

Packages with primarily batteries in them are now more likely to get caught and get returned to us. We'll refund in those cases.

If you have previously requested us to put you on Hong Kong Post only list, you may want to consider getting off that list to avoid the added wait time at Hong Kong Post.

Again, until this loosens, there is a higher chance for packages consisting of only batteries to be returned to us by shipping carriers. When they are returned, we will fully refund customers and cancel their affected orders.

We'll monitor and update as this situation develops.

We apologize for this and thank you for your understanding.

Hello,

Well can you please tell me how long Hong Kong takes to return it to you? It has been over a month since this was shipped and I would like to have the batteries I paid for or my money refunded so I may purchase the much needed batteries.

Thank you

This is not acceptable. I purchased in good faith from your company. It is not my fault that your company chooses a shipping method that the company is obviously aware that Hong Kong Post will confiscate or return as addressed in your initial reply to me. Seems to me that since you are very aware of Hong Kong Post's policies and procedures you should follow them so issues such as this does not occur with your customers. Your customers should not have to pay for your mistakes or risks that are chosen in trying to save some money on shipping. This is your company's error not mine. I placed my order on Sept 15, we are now into Nov. and I have been communicating with you for 20 days on this issue. You have had ample time to investigate this matter. Please refund my purchase.

I have ordered from FastTech a few times and the first two times I was displeased. Ordered a mod that lasted three days. Unfortunately it was my fault, never order an aluminum threaded mod, the threads will strip!

The last order I got arrived timely but it was shipped in two parts. My batteries took about a week longer and sat in HKPost fro about four days before moving forward.

I am sad to see others are experiencing shipping issues when I haven't but it makes me want to look elsewhere. Collectively as a whole the experience is dismal. Has anyone tried DHgate?

DHgate is very, very risky.

It's pretty much a Chinese eBay...

You're not buying product from manufacturers, you're paying a non-employee to order product for you....for a fee.

They could just take your money and run away or buy inferior product and you're stuck with it.

Well I'm definitely not buying from them now.
My grandfather always said: "You get what you pay for" in this case "cheap" isn't always better.
