Finally got "The Original and 555" flavoring. Just the flavoring from http://www.liquidxpress.com. Having fun getting the flavor I like. I like both. I like having a tobacco flavor.

Hi Rocketman
We started by using the Mixing Tips at LiquidXpress Hompage. We just kept playing around until we got a flavor we liked. One day we will learn to write this stuff down so we have it for reference. It does take alot of the flavoring. We are mixing it down to the lowest lvl of nic and that may be why its taking so much to get what we wanted from the flavoring. But still can get a tobacco taste from them.

My order from Loranns came in via UPS a few minutes ago. Some 1 oz flavorings (PG base), some 1 dram bottles of the strong stuff and 16 oz of VG.
I just made up a JC bottle of Banana Cream using the "godling mixing method" with a about half a bottle (1.85ml) of unflavored 36mg/ml, 3 eyedroppers of the Banana Cream (not the concentrated) and topped it off with some more PG (which I already had open) to fill the bottle. Guess this is now about 18mg/ml. Should have cut it with the VG. I like the 50/50 better. Took less than two minutes, tastes more like banana than bananas do. Not bad. His mixing method really works

Made a few purchases on FleaBay, got these goodies:

Well, more and less...

Quite a while ago I purchased the vintage syringes there to use as photo props, never realizing they would possibly have some real use.

I got the graduated cylinders (25ml, 50ml & 250ml), the 800ml flask and the 150ml evaporating dish from expediglass. Great prices and expedi shipping (couldn't resist).

The pretty cobalt blue boston round bottles came from saltheking. Decent price, but the shipping could have been faster. Had a little breakage in transit - no biggie, just a couple eye droppers. I got (3) 8oz, (2) 4oz, (4) 2oz and (6) 1oz along with a dozen extra caps for the eye dropper bottles.

The 10ml pipette in the flask came from emedstore. Got a pack of 20 for just over $15 shipped. They finally came today... Really slow shipping - 9 days from payment to delivery.

The little funnel came from Johnson Creek with my latest juice order.

A couple of the 240ml bottles (8oz) are in the fridge with 180ml of 48mg/ml PG from VapeMeister and 240ml of PG - also bought on ebay (overpriced).

I've got 60ml of VG hiding in the fridge in another bottle and am waiting on an order from Capella Flavor Drops of Caramel, French Vanilla and Cool Mint.

Almost ready!

I tried a simple tobacco extraction a while back and have yet to use it (not sure if I will).

I emptied the tobacco from three Camel Turish Royals into a 30ml bottle and added distilled water to fill. Placed it in a pan of boiling water for 15 minutes and inverted it occasionally until it was at room temperature. Then it went into the fridge for the remainder of 48 hours.

I strained the mixture through a coffee filter into the evaporation dish. Popped it into my food dehydrator and let 'er run for four hours. Well, that was too long...

It had dried to a hard "resin" in the dish. I added 40 drops of distilled water and it easily reconstituted to about e-liquid consistancy. It is nearly brown-black and smells very strong of tobacco. Made about 2ml. Not too sure of the nic content. I tried to figure roughly what it might be:

3 cigs = aprox. 2.4gm of tobacco. If the tobacco has 3% nic in it, that works out to 72mg. If I managed to get 75% of the nic out, that leaves me with 54mg in suspension / 2ml = 26mg/ml.

If I mix that into 30ml total of PG or PG/VG, I only get 1.8mg/ml. So, it's probably best to mix with 22mg solution to give me about 24mg/ml.

Wish me luck-

Rick

love the layout, wifey though I was going overboard here, this will help.

Still haven't received an answer about the UV blocking of the cobalt blue bottles, but they are just 'so pretty'. I take it (with the syringes) this is not your 'travel kit'?
Need to get a little lab case (vintage oak microscope case, refinish it, for storage/display.
Just gave myself an idea, cool. I can type and think now that I vape (off to ebay).
I have a tincture of tobacco in the works also, mostly for flavor.

(man, I',m sure you're on their list after posting that picture. Takes the pressure off the rest of us now that they are watching you.)

Late edit: orientation of the glassware indicates you are with 'AT&T', think they will complain?

www . specialitybottle . com .......... check it out ... all sorts of brown or blue bottles and stoppers, etc. and more tin spice cans than Alton Brown can shake a stick at ... cheap, very reasonable shipping (especialy considering their unit costs). I stumbled upon them a cpl years ago and they are the fastest and most reasonable that I've come across ... especially for glassware. No advertising here, just information.

ordered from them on the 19th. Agree, pretty blue boston round, Green, and of course Amber. The 4 dram amber with dropper seems about perfect.
Pretty good prices also.
Rocket

Also picked up a few extra pieces of glass off ebay, gotta love that ebay.

Follow up: bottles came in on the 28th, no breakage.
Graduated cylinders from ebay also, no breakage.

If anyone plans to order from specialty bottle (or anyone else for that matter) play with the shopping cart. In my case shipping jumped from $8.48 to $12 just adding one more $0.81 bottle and getting the next higher shipping charge. A good deal but always play with the automated shipping calculators to find the break points. Of course I went with the lower amount, the cheap skate that I am

DIY info:
Found some graduated 10ml plastic syringes (not near as pretty as renders) with long blunt needles (ink cartridge filling style) on ebay, search "Syringe long blunt needle". 4 of them for 3 bucks plus 3 bucks shipping. They came in today (a dozen). Looks like an OK value.

DIY, glycerine.
I'm sure some of you have found sources for PG and VG to cut/mix juice but here's 2 more cents toward the new server:
Loranns Vegetable Glycerine is Kosher, USP/Food Grade. In 16 oz bottles, not the cheapest, but if you are ordering flavors anyway then add some in with the order to save on shipping. I've tried their strong flavors in the 1 dram bottles and the 1 oz bottles. I use less than 3% by volume of the strong and about 5 to 6% of the thinner stuff.

Wiltons Kosher/USP/Food Grade seems good, I get my in 4 oz bottles at Hobby Lobby.

Another source of traceable, USP/Food Grade Glycerine is NowFoods. Haven't tried them yet. Their website has a zipcode finder for local sellers (found some in my area) and web sales though Netrition (dribble some vitamins in while you're at it).
With $4.95 shipping you could get a gallon for $57. Good price?
I'll get back with the counter price if it's stocked near me just to give you an idea.

OMG! May have just found the holy grail of flavorings!

Flavourart Express shop

They're in Italy. Most every "normal" flavor you have heard of, plus (a sampling):

Anchovy (yech, but had to list it!)
Apple Pie
2 types of Beef
Beer
Brandy
Butter
Burnt Caramel (Burnt Sugar Syrup)
4 types of Cheeses
Chestnut
2 types of Chicken
Grilled Crab? Wow...
Croissant
Several floral or flowery flavors
Gin
2 varieties of Ham
White and Concord Grape flavors
Kiwi
Oak
Pistacchio
Pomegranate
Rum
Tiramisu
3 different Vanillas
Whiskey
3 Wines

Much more, many are available both water base as well as oil based.

They even have Pizza and Bacon! Unfortunately they're both oil based... Damn!!!

I believe so.

But, on that note - I was searching for tobacco absolute on the web, and a few I came across stated that they were soluble in oil.

I found a recipe on the other PV forum, and it calls for some tobacco absolute to be diluted in alcohol before adding it to the mix.

I've read some ingredient lists, and everything I've read that is a tobacco flavor lists at least one tobacco absolute. Many have two.

I may be wrong here, but I'll still present it like I know what I'm talking about: In order to get tobacco flavored eJuice, you have to use Tobacco Absolute, which is an oil. Mixing it with alcohol helps break down the oil and combines it with the other ingredients. Yes, oil is bad for your atty ... but it's a very small amount and the alternative is to have no tobacco flavors.

Zatarain's crab boil, a bottle might have shown in some of my photos.
And Zatarain's fish fry (friends don't let friends use flour).
Don't think "crawfish" flavor would be good. After boiling up a sack, the smell stays around a few days.

The super list of flavors is ridiculous. How could one person be expected to test them all. That is totally not fair. But I'm trying.

A little oil based mixed with a little ethanol, PG and VG, somethings got to mix with it, right, might coat the heater. Maybe it would clean out? Sugar is probably worse.
I'm game to taking a little risk with an atomizer now that I have spares.
The word for today is "spares".

And my order from specialtybottle came in yesterday (Sunday 19th to Tuesday 28th) no breakage. Would probably been impossible considering the packaging. Got cute little blue bottles, little green bottles, little brown bottles.

Rocket
(could mail a bottle of Zatarain's at cost)

I have read all the warnings for our use which is not its intended use, (if you use some I suggest you do also), but I enjoy the tobacco flavorings at seedman.com.

I especially like the commercial cigarette flavor and the cocoa extender.

1 or 2 drops goes a long way!

(Again, let me reiterate, this is an acceptable risk for me, read all you can find on the subject or ask before you use!)

I couldn't agree more. We do a lot of things thought by some to be stupid. ride motorcycles in the rain, own guns (and I mean a lot of guns, and a lot of NATO ammo), and the worst of all - vape Chinese e-juice. But be knowledgeable of whatever you do. Read, study, do your 'due-diligence' first. Then as an 'adult' go do it. Ride in the rain, 45 in the saddle bag, e-cig pass through in the cigarette lighter socket on the bike. Yee-ha,
hey ya'll watch this.
THe Rocket

Whenever I hear a prowler in the yard, I grab my 45, an e-cig (with the LED painted out of course) and always leave the SPARE 45 with the swamp lady) 20pts here also
(and don't let kids vape drunk)

Agreed! Oh now that you mention it old gun case can be given a new lease on life. "Spare" batts, attis & carts, a few bottles of juice can find safe refuge in there, but perhaps not next to the 45.

(Use of the word of the day extra 20 pt. post!)

Does anyone know what tobacco key accord is? Click on the bold text to see the formula of it. Here is the lead page for it. They call it a tobacco blend.

I have some absolute coming from there (they're a perfume making supply). I don't see tobacco mentioned anywhere in the formula for the tobacco key accord. I wonder if Johnson Creek is using something similar to this as they state that they are now tobacco free.

I have 60ml of the new JC Tennessee Cured, but haven't tried it yet. It is tobacco free.

Some more info about ordering from Flavourart Express -

I started an order, and noticed that their cart was charging VAT on my order (significant, adds 20% of price and shipping). I couldn't remove it. I cancelled the order and wrote them an email. Here is the response:

To remove VAT, you should have a vat number and at the end of purchasing process tick "I am eligible for tax exemption" and fill the field with you number.

If you do not have it, let us know, we will withdrawn VAT cost manually from your order.

In this case if you pay by PAY PAL, do not go through the automatic payment process ( otherwise VAT is automatically added ). We will issue a manual payment request for you.

I hope all is clear

Kind regards

Clarissa
