Anybody flown on a plane with eCigs on them, in their carry on, or luggage and have any problems or security delays? I'd like to think that they are pretty educated on these things by now and as long as the juice is ziploc'd I should be good to go? I'm asking because I will be travelling on business soon and will need my vaping supplies.

Flavor. Vapor. Quality. See why Johnson Creek is America's Smoke Juice.

Wife and I went to NYC in May.
Vaped in airport, not on plane.
Went though TSA checkpoints with Trailer Parks in the Tray, 18650 batts in the carry-on, juice in vendor labeled (my mix in their bottles ) bottles just like the other liquids.
Some airlines specifically restrict vaping on the plane. Some don't.
We may have puffed a couple of times and blown it down between the seats

Note that some smoke detectors (photo not ion types) may trigger on vapor.

Just don't try and piss anyone off, and they probably won't get pissed off.

Good luck,

Rocky

Even when I was a smoker, I could get to my destination without smoking. I'd rather not push the issue vaping, especially on a plane, short flight anyway. My major concern was them thinking it might be something else. Just not looking for an airport hassle. Don't want to need to use the slide!

Thanks for easing my worries!

I have flown many times with my e-cig. Just prefill some carts or bring a tiny bottle of juice. The only thing I was ever questioned about was the charging case. So I stopped bringing it on the plane with me. I have taken a few puffs on the plane and like Rocket discretely blew it into the seat. I've also vaped in the bathroom on the plane.

I wont fly first class anymore tho. They pay way too much attention to you and it's hard to sneak a puff. I was seated in the very first row on first class once and couldn't sneak any at all.

Even if they allow them on the plane it's more fun to sneak And sometimes I just want to relax and not answer a dozen questions about what I'm doing.

My husband and I cruise about 6 times a year and usually end up flying to FL. I've taken several batteries, atomizers, PCC, wall chargers and sample size bottles of e-liquid thru security with no problems. I use mine in the airports and have even snuck a drag or 2 while on the plane. My husband goes in the bathroom to use his....not as daring as I ~Linda~

Linda-- Check out the cruise prices at the end of Sept. beginning of Oct. Crazy cheap! You can do 4 night cruise from Pt. Canaveral for $170! The bastards at the port rip you off on parking tho. I've never found anywhere nearby to park the car safely and get there without involving a costly taxi ride that defeats the purpose.

Isn't it weird to smell the cig smoke in the bars and casinos on the ship? Almost forgot how bad it smells!

We've actually got a 7 day coming up Sept 4 out of NY and another 7 day on the new NCL Epic Nov 13 out of Miami. Usually go every year in Sept & Oct or Nov cause the prices are so cheap. Never gone out of Port Canaveral because of the hassle of getting from airport to port.

You're right....the bars and casinos on the ships do stink. Hate to admit I now see what the non-smokers were complaining about

I used to play every Thursday night as the "house bass player" for an open mike. I used to get home at 2 AM and hang my clothes out on the line, because I couldn't leave them in the house! And I am a smoker!! YEEECH!!! And yes, now I can understand what I smelled like...

Yup, my husband hasn't totally switched over (tho' he's gone from 3 packs a day to under a pack) and he still buys them on the ships. When we were in St Thomas a couple yrs ago we found cigs for $12 a carton

THREE PACKS?!?!?! Whew! I have been a pack a day since I was 25, one pack in 24 hours. Any more and I felt like crap! Let's see, at VT prices 3 packs is ~$21 a DAY!!!

I'm sure you slide over to NH, like most of us...

For the last 4 years I have been making my own with McClintock or Rave tobacco (the Rave is tasty!) and a machine I got on eBay. Before the taxes took effect it was about $0.75 a pack, and 45 minutes a day making up ~35 cigs.

I figure vaping costs ~$1 a day or less, and a pack lasts 4-5 days.

I was vaping exclusively when I started; since going back to 3-4 cigs a day, I'm getting congested again!

Time to give up the cigs totally (so, why did I buy a pack today?)

But I have an issue with batteris, since I use a 5v passthru in the car and a 4.2v homemade unit at home, and batteries just don't KICK enough!

Actually I think they're closer to $8 a pack and he continues to buy them 1 pack at a time. When we were both smoking we ordered from the Indian reservation in NY and it worked out to abt $21 a carton including mail costs (but we'd order 15 cartons at a time...). With people we know getting caught and paying thousands in taxes, it's just as well we stopped doing that anyway before the ban on shipping them.
