Yes Steam, just close your eyes and keep saying to yourself that it's working on Linux.
The question was about Wine. Hey, you forgot to ask if it will work on Mac also.

WINE is "Wine is not an emulator" meaning it is a standalone Windows kernel that runs on top of the Linux kernel. Sooo, if you need .Net, and you have .Net running under WINE, than that means it should work on Linux.

So far the only thing I have had working using WINE was INternet Exploer. It was dodgey, and of course, the question is, "Why?"

I had an IE instance I ran under wine, because my bank's page would only work in IE. I put up with it for about two years, then I changed banks.

I can only take my Dell certs on IE. It SAYS "Must use Internet Explorer or Foxfire" but I guess LINUX FoxFire doesn't count.

Yup. It is based on Mandriva. So I loaded Mandriva on another HDD for a comparison and I can't get the video driver to load! It works perfectly on PCLinuxOS.

The only thing is PCLOS is 32 bit, but Mandriva is 64 bit.

I'm running it on a Gigabyte Mobo (to replace my TWO ASUS boards that went FFFFFT!) with a 3.2G Pentium D Dual core clocked to 3.97G, 6G of ram and an ASUS Nvidia GPU. On my 1999 Thinkpad I run SuSE 9.3 (linux) and on my D610 I run WinXP/Ubuntu 9.x dual boot. I also have the Gigabyte set up with XP and Win7.

Yeah, you can DL the image, burn it to a CD (I think...I don't think it's a DVD) and boot from the CD to see how it works. What I like best about PCLOS is the hardware settings. You can configure anything. On my D610 Ubuntu had no problem figuring out the hardware, everything just worked fine right after installing, but i had a bit of a time getting the screen resolution I like. I like 1600x1200 or 1900x1400, but at 72Hz or higher to avoid flickering. The 60Hz screen flicker is annoying, esp with flourescent bulbs that the government is going to MAKE us start using next year.

There are some who would say it's like running the space shuttle on regular gas. I say NI to them!

WinXP and Win 7 run nicely on it, though.

Maybe you should try virtualbox or bochs, they should give you the virtualization you need to run windows without having vm extensions.

The most accurate e-luqid calculator. You can use the two liquids. Separately from the main flavor of the liquid. Calculator will calculate you how much you need to add nicotine base, propylene glycol (add PG), glycerin (add VG), distilled water (add Water), in order to get the muck specified parameters. Ive use it to add my own flavors in so far. It works GREAT !! I get the vg and strength mixed in from the supplier, still brand new to DYI. The best part of DYI to me so far is the savings. I brag to my friends that still smoke that my nic habit cost me a week less than thier's cost in a day!!

Yea..I love the DIY savings...and the ability to tweak the amount of flavorings to suit my individual tastes.. and mixing at 95% vg for the most vapor and minimum tank leakage
