Starting new thread for Electricity issues with e-cigs, components, chargers, PCC, Exotic power sources like Solar and wind generator you clip to you car window while driving, and other weird devices applicable to e-cigs.
I keep clogging up other threads with my electrical comments.
Here's a bucket for it.

I'LL EVEN GO FIRST (YES IN ALL CAPS)
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PLACING A METAL DEVICE IN YOUR MOUTH THAT IS CONNECTED, EVEN INDIRECTLY THROUGH A POWER CONVERTING DEVICE, TO AN AC MAINS SUPPLY 120vac TO 240VAC UNLESS THE DEVICE IS RATED AS DOUBLE INSULATED TO GREATER THAN 2.4 TIMES THE MAINS RMS VOLTAGE, IS CONNECTED VIA A 3 PRONG GROUNDED CONNECTOR TO A GFI (GROUND FAULT INTERRUPTER) OR CONNECTED TO A CERTIFIED LOW LEAKAGE, MEDICAL GRADE MAINS CIRCUIT. TO DO SO PLACES YOU AT RISK FOR ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH.
Ok, that said, be careful with powered devices you stick in your mouth.(or?)

joe,
that's pretty cool. I tried one of the hand crank flashlight/AM/FM/WeatherBand radio/cell phone charger things but it would not keep up with vaping. The internal battery must be too small. This sounds like it would work much better, and is USB chargeable. Have you tried it? If not buy one and post a review. Is it available shipped to the U.S.? This would be great on a camping trip (just to show off).
I have ordered (instead of building myself cause I lazy) a solar charger/battery/USB combo just because.
Let us know if you have or plan to get one of these pull string thingies, I can't afford everything

One day I will get one..........I have so many supplies right now. I've been stockpiling the consumables that I can't live without (gotta quit ordering) I believe you could plug a passthru straight in it also to vape

Joe,
Bet you are right. The ad says 650 mah battery in it. Yes I bet it would power a pass through, without a risk of electrocution or killing your laptop motherboard. Hope someone buys one. I'll report on my $13 solar charger when it gets here.

Solar charger for e-cig.
Here's the solar or USB charger hooked up to a USB charger and 510 manual battery.
If it really has a 1350mah, 3.7 volt battery and puts out 5v, then it probably will provide about 900mah at 5v (90%)? Anyway we'll see if it will charge a few 510 batteries. And how well the solar cell works.

The pink is just sooo sweet.

Ebay, $13 shipped, or less. Pink ended up being the default cause I didn't select.

I think I'll just keep the solar thingy here.

I'm charging battery #2 with it, still going.

Don't toss you dead parts. Here's an Idea:

When I have time (?) I would like to make an Executive E-Cig SET.

A manual 510 e-cig,
a white LED 510 flashlight (from a dead atty and a good 510 battery),
a manual 510 laser pointer (same method as flashlight),
and a 510 ball point pen (removable cartridge/cap).
Use a slide-on pencil clip on each.
Carry them all in a pocket protector and impress your geeky friends.
