Some more 901 chatter. The swamp lady is the 901 master. She rotates a small handful of 901 batteries, attys, a couple of fat 901s (905), and now KR808D-1 cartomizers (via adapter). For some odd reason she doesn't have the same problems I have had with 510 auto batteries with the 901 (juices in the auto switch). Just got in a batch of 901 attys in assorted colors from Amy@HC. High bridge, real cloud makers.
So yesterday I stop by to see a coworker I got started on e-cigs with the 901, who stopped smoking cigarettes by using e-cig, and he gave me all of his dead batteries for connector use. This guy had more batteries failures than Hachi has atty failures. A 901 battery would last him 2 to 3 days, and various failure modes. I offered to swap out for 510 stuff, but no he kept with it. Didn't have atty problems just batteries. Got so bad I would take different routes around the plant to avoid hearing about another failure.
E-cigs got him off cigarettes, and battery failures got him off e-cigs, total quit. Success, right?
Gonna take a couple atty colors the wife don't like and some 901 battery connectors I got from the coworker and make 2 trailer parks for a couple coming by Saturday to watch the Saints playoff game. I'm going to start them on e-cigs with a trailer park and a 901 atty, and also a couple of D-1 cartomizers. I'll have to part with a little juice from the stash.
I came up with a new way to fix the airflow problem when using a 901 connector with the 808D-1. Instead of a slot, I drill a small hole at an angle from the center contact out through the side of the connector just below the threads. Clear the chips with a sewing needle. Will post a picture tomorrow.

At least attys are less expensive than batteries. What was he doing, hooking up his batteries to the jumper cables? Should have hooked him up with an 18650 TP, and then when he buries the batteries it's only ~$8 rather than $15.
