So I just watched a video about de-bridging and de-wicking a 510 attomizer, and it got me to thinking, about modding a CE2R4 cart, so I grabbed one and pulled all the rings out of it, exposing the coil and ceramic cup down in there, and dropped 2 drops of juice in it, and popped on my drip tip, hit it, and OMG talk about flavor and vapor production. I did mod the regular atty, and it didn't do much for it yet, as I need to give it a good cleaning, and I will see if it actually worked or not after cleaning it.
But daaam, these CE2's with no rings in them make for an outstanding drip!!
Give it a try if you have not already done so, you wont believe the difference.

Not sure what they are, just the standard carts.
1-2 drops of juice last around 15 good hits.

Of course it will help if you fill the cart 1st.

Yea..some people have been modding the CE2's in various ways to try and improve the performance. Im pretty sure Steam is dripping his also.
Ive seen couple mods that one lay another wick over the coil and also where they open up the holes on the inner ring over the cup to improve wicking.

No more than 2 drops or you'll fill up the air tube with juice. Air comes in through the center conductor which is the bottom of the airtube which holds the ceramic cup.

Yup, however I have found that removing the last o-ring can lead to problems. I think the negative connection is on the outside, and it can 'lean' up against the metal (if you're using a metal CE2 and not a clear one) and things can get really HOT in the old town tonight! I thought I was going to par broil my lips once! Since then I leave the inner ring alone and just drip on it with either the "E-Z Fill tool" or the eyedroppers Vt Vapor puts in their juice bottles.

But, Yeah, I can certainly agree with Kev, vapor and flavor are really good.

I just recently figured out how to cut a CE2 XL for the MAP tank. It's been a bit of trial and error (two or three errors) in removing the guts from the tube. After I got that down, it's a cakewalk.

I haven't tried it yet but several people are increasing the size of the notches in the far inner ring so it doesn't pinch the wick so to speak. Truthfully I put down the CE2s since the revolution and haven't even pick any up since. I find the slip in and out carto way too easy to fill/top off and the vapor production has been much more consistent then a CE2 ever was IMO

With all the rings out, I drip right down the walls to top off now, and 1 drop in the middle, WOW, great. No more needles to fill with.

Yeah, but then you run the risk of some serious leakage.

The construction of the CE2 carts from my observation is that the two sides of the coil are connected to two insilated wires.
On wire is soldered to the center air column which is the center conductor of the atty connector.
The other wire from the coil is soldered to the threaded outside conductor of the connector.
The two insulated coil wires feed up through the holes in the base of the ceramic cup which holds the coil The cup is frequently held to the central air column by heat shrink tubing. Sometimes just an interferance fit of the air tube holds the tube to a socket in the bottom of the cup.
The wick passes through the loops of the coil to expose the juice which has been absorbed to the heat of the energized coil.
The heat if the carto tube is probably a result of hypervaping Steam. Lighten up on the go button.
There should be no way to short the center tube to the metal cart wall. If bent to the side the ceramic cup(non-conducting) will hit the sidewall before the positive center column.
I think enlarging the wick notches does help wicking and do that now before putting it back in. Putting the innermost ring back in helps if you lay the PV horizontal, but most of my vaporators will stand vertically.

Hasn't leaked yet.

3 down the sides and 1 in the center, and I'm good to go.
