| I was wondering because I have heard the hype:
Is it true that airlines, buses ext allow vaping on board. Also what about publice events, such as concerts ect. I heard that Starbucks banned the use of e-cigs...true or not.
If anybody has first hand experience on this I would appreciate some feedback!
Thanks everybody
Kind regards
Craig

| Some places I will ask, other places I will just vape unless told otherwise but I don't outwardly flaunt it either... unless the place doesn't mind it
On Starbucks, here is a thread on it. Starbucks bans E-cigs company wide |

| Blue, the FAA does not allow vaping on a/c but it is not mentioned during the flight briefing like they do smoking. I have DISCRETELY vaped on a/c recently. Don't know about buses.
Starbucks has a corporate ban on vaping covered under the smoking ban but they don't appear to enforce it strictly.

Craig | Trip to London this past summer. No problem getting on the plane with a PigCig in the change dish. As mentioned by bikes, I also vaped discretely while waiting and also on the plane. Used straight nic diluted to 11mg /all pg with no flavoring. Discreet drag, hold for 10 seconds and exhale with no vapor. Worked like a charm. Wife had never seen me fly so successfully. |

| LOL... like creote said, just dilute some nic down to your preference (24mg 18mg 12mg etc.) with straight PG, no flavoring. When you inhale it and hold it for a couple of seconds, no vapor comes out but you still get your nic fix.
You could probably still add some flavoring but there is a slight chance somebody might smell it.

I don't discount the fact of just knowing I could meant a lot. Although some have said that the bathroom was also safe, I really didn't want to push the envelope.
If you make up a batch of plane stuff a tad stronger than usual, anything left over can get some flavoring and your good to go after the trip. My previous trips have been made with multiple lozenges, patches and gums. Never had this good an experience so far. |

| A stealth vape would be an absolute necessity during a tarmac stall.

Another 45 minutes, ideally at Heathrow waiting for the bus that shuttles to the airport proper from the plane. Customs... 1 hr, then a quick grab of luggage. That's without any delays at all.
All I know for sure is that my wife was shocked at my condition in London. Had a nap. Watched a movie. Enjoyed the food and service. (British Air) I love to fly. Started with my uncle who had his own Piper Colt. Still fond memories. This was the first time I enjoyed it since they banned smoking. Wife said it showed. She's a much better judge of my moods and attitude than I will ever be. |

Wife was waiting, saw notice that the plane had arrived, and then it was removed from the boards before a gate was assigned. No one in information at the airport knew what happened to my flight or the other 18 planes that disappeared from the arrival board.
Turns out that the baggage handlers in Phila. working for US Air were on a slowdown because of labor disputes. 75% of Philly flights are US Air, so everybody just sat in a queue waiting for US Air planes to get unloaded. Sorry, getting verbose again.
BTW. the plane was considered "on time"

| From my own personal experience, you can pretty much vape anywhere if you are properly prepared and aren't an ass about it.
I've flown a few times and never had a problem openly vaping in the airport.
On the airplane it's stealth vaping only.
The FAA bans vaping for the "nuisance" factor of visible "smoke", and not for any health reasons.
I can't say I really blame them.
With the way people are now a days about air travel and terrorism, I'm sure it's entirely possible to start a panic by people seeing "smoke" coming up from a few rows in front of them.
I just toss a little 650 batt and cartos in my camera bag with the other batteries and chargers.
The TSA has never questioned it, and even if they did, it's not a banned item from carrying on the plane, just using on the plane.
I'll mix up a 50-60mg 100% PG juice with a strong flavor, and just take a quick vape when needed.
The higher nic satisfies my craving for a while with just one or two short vapes, and after holding it for a couple seconds there's no visible vapor on exhale.
Other than that, I vape openly everywhere else. Stores, restaurants, doctor's office, etc.
Mrs Wiz calls me a troublemaker, but I am somewhat discrete in most establishments, blowing the vapor down at the table instead of great plumes up in the air.
So far, the only response I've gotten from employees/management has been mostly out of curiosity, and not negative.
Of course, if I were every asked to stop I would cheerfully put it away.
Being an ass isn't going to change their mind, and would only hurt the cause in the long run. |
