We do what it is the great American tradition and every Americans duty. Break the stupid unjust law and continue about your business until they change it. For example prohibition against alcohol, didnt work, Americans kept drinking, law changed.

It may be the beginning of regulation but it won't be the end of e-cigs. Also, there are people fighting the bill. I know of at least 4 members of congress that vape on capital hill.

I agree, this certainly is a product that will be around one way or another for a VERY, VERY long time. There are so many benefits to it that just cannot be ignored. There is just no way. If it ever does come about that they are banned completely, its a crying shame and it means we are being controlled by those in power with the money, and that is a scary thought!

I for one will continue to sell them as long as I have a way to:
1. Get them in the country
2. Stay out of jail.

Its not the technology, I think you will still be able to sell pretty much any model of ecig, eventually they will probably be marketed as novelty items to get around any BS bans. Its the nicotene containing liquids which they could effectively ban, as most come from China and are not tested or regulated, and which could fall under their control, unfortunately.

They want to ban e-cigs because they pose a threat to MASSIVE tobacco tax revenues. It's that simple. The whole "side effects not determined", etc. just means they intend to bankroll a "study" to say e-cigs are a danger thus providing justification for a complete ban.

In the U.S., they just passed this SCHIP bill that imposed HUGE increases on tobacco tax to fund various freeby health care giveaways to middle class families that could actually afford their own health care insurance.

The only real hope that e-cigs have is
1.) overwhelming demand (capitalism has a way of getting it's way)
and/or
2.) they (our benevolent government) finds a way to tax the snot out of it.

Congress just put the next 3 generations in debt. Of course they're against "Tax Free Smoking". How else are they going to fund the bailouts?
