Since some here know the difficulties I have had in the past. I am ready to embark on a new journey. "mixing my own juices"

Shek and HOU998 you have your work cut out for you. LOL!

No matter what calculator you use, keep track of 2 quantities:

1) Total number of milligrams of Nicotine that went into your mix.
Ex: put 10ml of 24mg/ml juice into your mix=240mg of nicotine.

2) Total final volume of the mix in ml.
Ex: 3ml of something, 2ml of something else, 10ml of another ingredient for a total of 15ml.

The final strength will ALWAYS be the total nicotine divided by the final volume.
This should be the last safety check on your mix before you vape it.

The result, in mg/ml should be what you expected, or something went wrong.

Record all ingredient AS YOU ADD THEM or you may not be able to recover from an error.
Have fun, be safe.

Merry Christmas

That's good advise. Easy to get distracted and lose your place. Helps if you know where to expect the total volume to be when you are done as well. I line my bottles up on one side and move them to the other side as they are added.

Nice Calculator. I use it. Love the fact that I can easily keep all my recipes (good and bad) in one folder on my PC. Supa eazy and very functional.

Feel free to ask all the questions you want.

No such thing as a stupid question when dealing with potentially harmful chemicals.

If you want to start slow and get your feet wet with a minimum of risk, begin with a nicotine solution of 36-48mg/ml.

Rocket's DIY E-Juice Mixing Tutorial
Read through Rocky's DIY mixing tutorial, and ask about anything you may need more clarification on.

The software link I provided is for a fairly advanced Mixmaster but is still really easy to use. Most of the others I tried were very basic and did not have the full functionality I wanted. E.G. - Multiple flavs with different bases and the ability to Save your work as an independent file being only a couple.

Mixmaster thing is a joke btw. Anyone who can read, can use it. Not Rockyscience.

One more thing. Read the write up Rocket did. It will answer a bunch of the questions you would have and he obviously took a good deal of time putting it together. That's what its for

There will be a quiz.

Heya Craig,

Like Wiz said ask away. Me, Wiz, Berger, Tek, Rocky, Wetwire, Shek...we are ALL here for you buddy. I will comment on what you stated above..your a little scared. If you are truely scared then slow down a little and read, read and read some more. Research your ass off. Know what you are getting into before making the plunge. I say this because there is a difference between being scared of and having respect for what you are working with. Being scared you could become overly cautious..which caution is a good thing in this case but being overly cautious (to the extreme) can cause a mishap just as easily as being incautious. Do not be scared. Be respectful of what your dealing with and the danger it can pose and you will be ok.

I'm with Wiz in that you should not start with a nic base of more than 48mg/ml..36mg/ml is even better. Before doing any mixing please read Rockets DIY ejuice mixing tutorial. This is invaluable information for any and everyone.

Wear gloves at ALL times..ALWAYS! Wear at least safety glasses but goggles are even better for total eye protection. Mix in the kitchen where you have quick access to the faucet in case you do get nic on your skin and wash with COLD water (closes your pores) and soap. Do NOT use hot water as this opens your pores (this you do not want). Thoroughly clean the area you will be mixing at before and after.

Keep all your mixing supplies IN FRONT of you and never ever to the side as this can cause a spill. I could go on but I won't..read Rockets tutorial. Well one more thing. Mix only when your head is right. If you have had an overly stressed day and your mind is going 100 miles a minute..WAIT! You need no distractions..well as little as possible.

Start out making small batches at first like 5ml or so. This way if you make something you do not like then you have not wasted nic, diluents and flavorings. Make single flavored juices at first like hazelnut, almond, dk tobacco, french vanilla etc. You may become frustrated with the first few batches but do not give up. DIY takes patience and time to get the juices the way YOU like them. Nicotine is a dangerous substance to work with but use common sense concerning safety and read Rockets tutorial, ask questions when there is any doubt and you should be ok. Be safe Craig.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
