| So after screwing around with tanks since the very beginning, I got filling it down, but noticed they start acting finicky as the tank drops below 1/2 full-after a few fills, I notice that of course the color is changing because Im mixing new fresh juice with whatever s in there-I'm thinking pressure, how do I get this thing to pressurize...so I took an old grommet from one of my earliest trials-it fits over the carto, but just a tad too small to fit the inside snugly-and...
It works! I put it in there over the carto and my carto filled immediately after screwing the top cap back on!
As I recall, the grommet was 17 cents from Ace hardware-I think the trick is not to use a grommet that is flush-this way the air escapes and prevents flooding-EUREKA!!

| It works like the float in a toilet...it pushes the juice down and into the carto so I dont have to keep topping off and mixing fresh juice with old-

| If you use a tank with a fill hole in the side. You can loosen the screw when the tank is about half empty. Good time to top it off too.
I rarely get the juice going dark on me unless it's time to change or clean the carto. |

| depends on the juice and volts your running at...most of mine start getting darker after a few days from the carbonization of the coils leaching back out into the juice...doesnt affect taste much but is visually noticeable

| True, I run mine on the mild side. 3 ohm @ 4.4
It also tends to happen more if your juice is darker to start with. My clear juices have never turned dark, my other will after about 15-20 ml's. Think it has something to do with sugar content, but just a swag on my part. |

| Maybe its my imagination but my tank of IKV RY4 seems to change color every time I refill...
BTW, a bunch of 'old-time' vapers tried it and deemed it 'almost exactly' like the 'original' RY4...

| The RY4's I've tried all tend to be darker juices to start with. That could have something to do with it.
I'm no expert on juices though, I found a few I liked pretty quickly and haven't experimented much since. (Why fix what ain't broke) |

| I reckon some juices don't completely vaporize so that percentage that doesn't wicks back into the tank and it gradually turns darker as the liquid level goes down. This happens less on newer cartos and gradually becomes more prominent with age and use. |

| For me the biggest juice darkeners are the CE2 styles. like the Visions (any of them) and including the new VIVI Nova. It's a very quick process with those.

| I have very recently discovered that the best way for me to solve the crappy wicking as the juices dissipates is to punch one hole high up on the carto (like half way up the tank), and the other down low, right above the grommet), on opposite sides of course. I usually punch the top hole a bit larger just because this seems to work better for me.
This really seems to work in some magical way that keeps the carto topped off perfectly. |
