I think I saw it's a fairly high 3.2!

Probably not as critical as a normal Li-ion cell but 2.5v is the lower limit.

That test criteria is pretty impressive. I see why they come shipped unprotected but agree it still a good idea

Here's an update on the 26650.

7 hours into it and the UNLOADED voltage is 4.05 v.
If you remember my Ultrafire/Trustfire vape tests, I had some of the UF3600 give it up at about 7 hours.

If you put a leash and some casters on that you can drag that thing thru the airport as carry on luggage.
Stay away from the Denver int'l where my youngest will be looking at your bare bones
starting tomorrow.

Casters. Good idea.
Just for reference, a 900mah eGo with just an eGo Mega carto and juice is 37 grams. A TP with an 18650 and the same carto about 98 grams.
This thing with the same carto is 170 grams, and still kickin at +9 hours, 4.03 volts unloaded. So far, beats all the Ultrafires, working on the Trustfires now. No hint of letting up though.

We had an early Mini-Christmas today since the 'boy' will be leaving Tuesday to head off to Ft. Hood. Big dinner, jammin, presents.
I hurt

Congrats on your youngin getting a real job. I don't plan on going through Denver this winter.

He sorta had a real job, shift super at starbucks for the last 2 yrs,but this has more potential and they have told him they'll work with him so he can finish his degree.
My middle kid and family head for Zambia to teach at a Christian college on Christmas day HOHOHO. Won't leave the country til 3 Jan. but we'll be empty nesting again by new years.
Let us know how the Tractor Trailer does.

Well you tell them we'll be thinking about them.

The TractorTrailer is aproaching 12 hours, not a big surprise though.
I've made up an adapter when it comes time to recharge.
I won't insult anyone's intelligence by saying that this was made with a CE2 510 connector and other obvious components
Will still have to rubberband the switch on the Box Mod, but things like eGos work as is.

EDIT: 13 hours, and UNLOADED voltage is 4.01v. Will pick up the test in the morning (dang, it is morning). This has beat any 18650 that I have ever tried (I haven't tried one of the expensive cells yet), and still no sign of letting up.

Update: 15 hours and broke through 4 volts to 3.994 unloaded.
16 hours vaping and 3.96 volts unloaded. Going down fast now
17 hours and 3.93 volts, the end is in sight.
18 hours and 3.90 volts.

I was just going to ask if there wasn"t a way to put in a common charger, and you did make it happen. Yu still da man.

19 hours and I get am still getting 3.9 volts.

Here is a little 2 ohm test load (no box) with a pair of 1 ohm 10 watt resistors in series with a switch and another CE2 connector. The binding posts are across the carto connector.
19 hour unloaded and loaded voltages. I'm sure the protection circuit is dropping a little voltage.
This is really getting boring. Almost twenty hours and 3.85 volts unloaded. Took a break for dinner at the inlaws, not much vaping since the last measurement so I'll just call it 20hours and 3.85 volts at about 6PM. I really want to get this on charge to see how the bigger charger does.

Update: took a little nap add another hour to the vape, 21 hours, 3.83v unloaded, 3.64 loaded. I must not be vaping as much as when I was sitting around all day at the computer, back when I had to "work" for a living When the loaded voltage gets down to 3.55 volts it will probably be time to put it on charge. Seems vapor falls off about there with the 18650. I just have to make it though the night with a T.P.

I did have to switch cartos. Must have rolled over on it while napping and broke it. Oh well, it was one the swamp lady had broke first and I had to cut off part of the plastic and glue it back together. The Mega eGo cartos give you a lot of "leverage".

Wow this battery is very impressive.I assume it still vapes pretty good at 3.85 then? How low do you think you can go and still get good vape?
Just so Im understanding you screw the tractor trailer onto the adapter in the charger?
Got a buck to hold it up while it charging?
Gonna change the thread to all weekend sucker?

I like Tractor Trailer but it does need more wheels
That adaptor is great, is the tube totally hollow or coaxial?
Parallel 901/510 connectors seem feasible to expand utility.

I'm thinking binder clip for a handle otherwise superior engineering.
How low did Vout go before you rescued it?

The Box is getting close to full charge. So here is a test of one of the front switched (not as good as the Butt Switched) Trailer Parks.
Unloaded 18650 2400 Trustfire,
then loaded at 2 ohms.
Cleaned the contacts and got a little better with the TP. The little cheap switch just isn't very good at almost 2 amps.
We'll see what the 26650 does when it comes off the charger

You are now ready for TSA.

Priceless.

That's just a spare battery for my laptop

Ok, ready for the news? Doesn't look like 2 amps is much of a load for the BIG battery.
Here are the Fresh-Off-The-Charger values for the 26650. Must be the better switch
and the 4.03 volts fell off pretty quick to 4.02.

I forgot that I had easy access to bypass the protection board (and negative wiring) through the bottom hole. Here's a shot measuring voltage between the negative terminal of the 26650 and the connector center pin, again @ 2 ohms.

Really cool!
Maybe a cable mod between the charger and TTM to fuel it up might be cool
