| And, since I don't have to go to work tomorrow
up late watching poker on TV, and making another of the
clear CE2-XL cartos, which I will now refer to as the
TiltoDripFatBoy since you can tilt it and control how much
juice drips into the cup, or not. Few pics to get the construction idea.
A word of caution. When ready to remove the guts from the CE2-XL Rev 4, PUSH it out from the top. Don't PULL it out from the connector end. The Rev 4 will PULL APART. The tube is held inside the ceramic cup by the black shrink wrap.
Remember the "No Glue" claims? They ain't kidding. This seems to be a variation of a CE2 mod done earlier using things like little juice bottles or syringe bodies.
Photo 1: open like a can of tuna
Photo 2: slightly used XL (wick is normally white)
Photo 3: pen parts cut up and DSE701 cart/tip
Photo 4: ready to screw together and fill
Photo 5: various CE2 cartos
At least the clear ones don't look like an antenna on top of a detonator.

Wish I could find some of them. They would make a cool carto shell. | I bet you could find some at a flea market.

Rocket | Rocky, is it possible with the pen parts to still use the filler and stopper rings or are the sizes off too far?

The thinner ones I have are a little too tight for the inner ring to fit over the cup. I shaved the ID at the top to fit the soft top.

um, typo denim sHirt.
Anyhow, Packed up my vaping supplies, 510 mod, like maybe 3 spare 18650 batteries, 5 or 6 filled XLs, a couple of regular cartos, little bottle of juice, you know, enough to make it for 5 or 6 hours away from the house, STRESS FREE.
Good thing one of the spare cartos was a 510. I had used the 510 to 808 adapter I usually carry on the swamp ladies mod and hadn't replaced it and the spares were 808D-1.
So my answer to that problem. Double wide 510 with a 808D-1 adapter and a 808D-1 Double wide with a 510 adapter. Now no matter what I toss in the kit, it will work. Don't really have to use both barrels at the same time. | Sure...... it's a typo...... |

Rocket | How do you keep the juice from pulling through the mouthpiece!?

| carto tube comes up from connector into ceramic cup, just like the factory did. They put seals to keep the juice from leaking when you lay it down.
i just have to remember not to look up and vape at the same time.

| Each time I do it, I spit it out into my coffee.
Caffeine and nic shots.
If it's not too full it doesn't leak too bad. And I can run it back into the tank.
But it you are careful, You have visual control of wicking even to the point of simulated dripping.

i just have to remember not to look up and vape at the same time. | So then, the vapor is drawn through the metal tube in the center and pulled out of that white end right? If so, couldn't one make a silicone washer to fit around the white piece?

| You could I guess. The tube is bigger than the factory tube. A carto condom might work.
I just haven't bothered. When I lay it down I prop it on something. Mostly just stick it in a SHIRT pocket.

Mostly just stick it in a SHIRT pocket. | I was also thinking that if the metal tube in the middle and the atty wire coiled around it were lengthened somehow to nearly the end of the tube (I reference the first carto of the fifth image), the mentioned possible silicone washer could be placed on the white piece and all that space could be one massive reservoir!
Couple that with an eGo 1000 mAh battery or larger and you could probably use one whole setup a day without refilling. Theoretically.

| Rocket, good call on the mini hookah pen mod. I must be conservative, I think it looks better without the "Fro".
I scraped out one today and the batt connector was so tight that there was no draw. These things don't care where the air comes from so I just heated a needle and put a pinhole in the barrel up near the drip tip POOF!! magic vapor |

| bikes, agree,
Air flow up past the coil is probably better. But if you get air, you will get vapor.
Dhilias,
huh?
I think the extra space is pretty much unusable. If you go over the coil, gurggle.
That's why I went fatter.

Nowhere but UP
After searching various other forums I found several variations of clear mods for the CE2 using little bottles, syringe tubes, even glass tubes with carto condoms as seals, that all predate my fatboy. Sealing seems to be the issue many bring up. I'll admit that can be a problem but if careful which way you point it you can keep most of the juice in the tank.
Clear just helps me see what's going on. Considering the original cost or the XL, the cost of the pen, and my effective hourly labor rate for home projects, these only cost me $3.50 a piece (I usually make about a dollar an hour with home made stuff).

| Have you actually looked at BP?
If you had bought just after the leak was stopped you could be up 50%.
Pretty good short term gain.

For shame... | And here I sit with GM bonds I can't sell til they decide what the heck to do. On the upnote - I bought a ton of sirius at 18¢, and a ton of Ford at $1.50 when it was all on the downslide.

| On a week on two CE2 cartomizers, one 3 ohm and one 2.5 ohm. I think the 3 ohm is actually over a week, but I didn't use it for 3-4 days while firing up the 2 ohm.
Not bad. After a couple initial hiccups, I'm quite impressed! |
