What do you get when you put a non punched/slotted XL cartomizer in a ST tank full of plain PG? A heatsink! I am going to give it a try anyway. I am trying straight PG first (for no other reason than I have some) to try to cool down the carto innards for longer vape times and less juice burn. Any thoughts?

If I understand the tanked fluid will never enter the carto, why not just use water?

Very interesting idea tank as a radiator.

I was thinking the PG might be a better thermal conductor. Maybe dissipate the heat quicker?

Interesting idea but I would have a fit having to go back and refill a carto all the time. I've gotten lazy.

Well, I already have sorta gone back to doing the carto fill thing. I dun like.. I dun wanna do it. BUT I just can not get happy with a tank ya know. Anyway it is just an exercise really. I have been trying different things to cool down LR cartos. Heatsinks.. It seemed worth a try as a test.

I can relate. Even the cartos I punch I sometimes have leaking issues with. Seems everything must be in balance or it's too dry or too wet and can get frustrating quickly. Cool down the cartos.... they are good when they are hot

WW, i have thought of this same thing.. My next test would be, to use aluminum to conduct the heat, or copper, and the perfect thing to do this would be....

Like the fins on base board heating, radiators, heat sinks in computers..

a sleave, made with several washers, kinda like a drip sheild, but a heat sheild...

I know where ya goings, esp cause i get this tank blue gave me, <aluminum liquidnator> hot, and i thought i got the derlin hot..

Btw i think the pg might have more of a insulative quality, you would want some thing out side of plastic to dissapate the heat, like fins.... maby a coldcell thing, or a fan... Just sayin lolz...

K. Update after using all day. It works.. Really good. Better than I expected.

RY - I like it HOT.. just not burnt

Tek - I have gone to the extent of adding RAM heatsinks with thermal adhesive. This actually works much better.
