Caffeine when vaped; may have different chemical characteristics or properties, but could stay in the system (body) as long as having it as drink would.

| Free Bottle of 5150 Juice - use the discount code get5150 to receive a FREE bottle of 5150 (s&h applies - $3.95). Simply go to: FREE Bottle of 5150 Juice :: Get 5150 :: ENERGY SUPPLEMENT
I did their survey and suggested they put dropper tops in there for ease of use (especially into nicjuice).
I like the stuff but don't have the mix just right so that I don't taste it too much. Maybe in cotton candy flavoring...we'll see.
It's good in my coffee milk though!

Caffeine when vaped; may have different chemical characteristics or properties, but could stay in the system (body) as long as having it as drink would. | I started looking up caffeine effects and found this article comparing the effects of nicotine and caffeine administered intravenously, which is essentially the same as vaping. Intravenous Nicotine and Caffeine: Subjective and Physiological Effects in Cocaine Abusers ? JPET
About half way down they have a chart comparison of the effects vs time. It looks like they are about the same time-wise. 15-30 min and it wears off. Maybe the reason we're up for long periods of time when drinking caffeine is that our metabolisms act as a kind of slow release pill.
So I went looking for an answer to that: Apparently caffeine starts being absorbed 15 min after ingestion, and is completely absorbed 45 min after. However, only about 1/2 is eliminated in the urine within 6 hours. I guess the half life of nicotine is 60-120 minutes depending on where you look. So that doesn't really match the charts, but the charts are a subjective measure, not a direct measure of the amount of substance still in your system
3 Cups of coffee is about 250mg of caffeine, while a regular cigarette is about 1.5mg, and a 16mg e-cig will deliver .80mg (Ruyan data of 16mg e-liquid, 15 puffs). So looking at those levels on the chart, it seems that caffeine and nicotine at relatively normal levels are about the same when introduced directly into the blood. Though, it does look like the nicotine has more of a "kick". |

We must keep in mind the study in your link above was of nine subjects abusing caffeine, tobacco, and using cocaine. We all know of minor substance abuse and addiction. (First hand on nicotine overdosing. ) It does seem plausible that we can add stimulants to our nicotine when vaping, but a word of caution here in that anyone reading this know that this can be fraught with danger and should be left to experienced vapers who are well aware of the risks. 'nuff said.
( In other words... be responsible!)

I guess I didn't read some of the other posts carefully enough. I don't advocate adding caffeine to your nicotine. My interest was as substitute, to add to 0mg e-liquid. In fact, I think there are some studies out there that say that Nicotine + Caffeine is actually a bad idea.
I don't think a coffee or coke 'n a vape is too much to worry about, or we'd all be in trouble, but without detailed analysis and knowledge I wouldn't "add" caffeine to nicotine e-liquid. |

| When I did my trial run with 5HR energy, 26 mg/ml nic liquid, and vg in equal parts I wasn't able to get to sleep for 4hrs after I was done vaping, and that was only 1.5 ml of the mix. I'm not sure of the science but the experience was unsettling. Discontinued that formula.

bikes | Then the experience a'int worth it!
I have the bottle I mixed of cafy/nicjuice and it's just too watery for my liking. The caffiene juice still would need to be more potent to turn out the way I'd like.
I enjoy my coffee and enjoy my vaporizer separately.
