I bought my Leo from someone else. They are out of stock of the battery and atomizer and so I bought another kit from someone else. My kit has no hole in the top of the battery and the new ones I bought do. I do not want batteries with the hole in it for fear the liquid may destroy the battery. Do yours have the hole? The atomizers I first bought also have no hole in the bottom where it screws on to the battery but I suppose this won't matter if the battery has no hole. Do your atomizers have the hole also? Mine is matt black with no crystals, just a plain cap.

BTW...I LOVE IT! I am new to vaping...quit smoking Feb. 25th but this has lasted me with no problems what so ever! And I have not had the urge to go back due to the massive amounts of vapor I get and the good throat hit.

I think if I had chosen another brand I may have relapsed because I did buy another brand for my mother and it did not have the throat hit which I need since just quitting smoking.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

While we're waiting for someone to chime in drone, welcome to vapeatron.
There is not much chatter around here about Leos, but usually the hole in the battery connector means the device has an automatic battery since the air to the atty is routed through the battery housing. If you don't have a manual button to activate the atomiser your battery is auto and you are right about the danger of ruining the batt with juice.

No, it is a manual push button. I was very surprised to see the holes.

I had done a lot of reading before I ended up getting the Leo. I bought it at Vapor Nine. I have not seen this matt black model without the crystal ends on any other site, but I think I prefer it.

Ooops. I misspoke about the atomizer. It does have the hole.

I have been using the same battery, atomizer, and cartridge since I quit in February. From what I have read this is a pretty good length of time for e-cigs to last. What has been your experience with what you use?

Drone, Steam is our resident expert on destructive testing. Anything he does with equipment screws up the curve.
My all time record for a factory batteryis around 10 months for a 4081
Atomisers around 6 months
Cartomisers around 6 weeks for a CE2 type
For mod batteries I've got 14500 and 18650s that I marked Jan 2010.
Oh wait, I guess I screw up the curve too.

Thanks 40bikes. Wow. I think I am probably pretty stocked up then. This really IS a whole lot cheaper than real cigs, I think you call them analogs here?

But I am lame on the other termonology here. What is a 4081 battery? That time average sounds really good. What brand e-cig are you using?

I see I have:
Quote:
Battery capacity: 800 mAh
Charge time: 3-4h
Input voltage: 5V
Working voltage: 3.7V
And mine does not seem to take 3-4 hours to charge. Seems more like maybe 1/2 hour until the light goes out, meaning a full charge. Maybe I'm not vaping as much as others do?

4081 is a model number. Most makers have different model numbers that refer to the type of battery, the threaded connector and the type of atomizer. The 4081 is compatible with something else, I just can't remember what it is.

Most common ones are the "originals"; DSE models (801,901), Joye models (like the 510), etc. Since the 901 and the 510 are two of the most popular models, a lot of people make things to fit. LeCig's 808D-1 (I think) will fit a 901 device.

Drone, I charge everyone that I've used that day that evening,so that seems to keep them topped up. If you only have to charge for 1/2 hour you're not vaping very much. I use 4-5 mods and a couple of eGo types during the course of a day.
Most cigarette sized PVs should get around 300 charge cycles. An 18650 should get around 1000 top off or short cycles. The batteries are cheaper and last longer as regards service life.
A 4081 model is a cigarette size PV that is the same length as a 510 model but is 1.2mm greater in diameter. Most of the retailers of this type have a bad reputation for QC and customer service and refill scams. Their pricing is predatory and they probably have little return business. Smoke Everywhere and NJOY are examples.

Thanks guys.

or gals

I had been able to cut down on my smoking by using Chantax and had been smoking 1 pack every three days.

Now for the story...the doctor said my daughter probably had bone cancer from the looks of her MRI. I made a deal with God I would quit smoking if he made her biopsy come out clean. It did and I have not taken another puff of a cigarette since.

So I probably am not vaping as much as others. I hit it hard at night before bed for some reason. I really like the taste and just going through the motion I guess.

Do I have a 18650 battery right now? I can't tell from the description given above?

I appreciate all the help you have given. Thank you. I will be gone for a few to take my grandchild to gymnastics. (Just an FYI so you won't think I am ignoring a post.) I just bought that screw driver one by Trog. It looks interesting and seems maybe to be a good kind like you are talking about?

Thanks so much!

Drone the screwdriver uses one of 2 battery types: the 14500 or the 16340 an 18650 has almost 3 times the electrical capacity as those.
Your Leo has similar capacity to the SD batteries;but the batteries are way cheaper for the mod. Instead of 12-25 bucks for a Leo batt the ones above will be <$6.

Wow! Congrats on your being cancer free for 5 years! That is a milestone I know. It is a terrifying diagnosis. And it is amazing all that goes through your head.

So, you and I are both new to this. Have you had the urge to smoke again? Almost immediately I just never wanted to smoke a cigarette again!

Woooo Hoooo! Great! I can't wait to get the screwdriver then. I ordered the Mach II and it comes with 4 or 5 atomizers which sound as if, because of how they are made, will really put out the vapor for not anymore battery power. Or am I misunderstanding you? Is the screwdriver a mod? Maybe not?

What is SD? I'm thinking maybe I need a glossary page? Is there one of those on this site? It is hard to learn much when you don't know the lingo.

I can kill an atomizer in a matter of a few days, and in some cases, even hours or minutes...

I can get cartomizers to last 2 weeks, one time 3 weeks, and once a month.

I knew someone would respond to my offer to speak up...

Actually, Li Ion batteries LIKE to be charged whenever not being used.

I have had two analog cigarettes in 10 days. One was my fault, didn't bring an extra battery along for my ecig...but have I had cravings? I did at first, but now, not really. In fact, analog cig tastes kinda nasty! And this, from a 36+ years smoiker!
