I’ve been thinking (yeah, yeah I know that sounds dangerous) about batteries. Since they got to be used or luzed it really doesn’t make since to buy a bunch to put away does it? And when we buy them who knows how long they’ve been setting on a shelf somewhere in China? I was never a mod kinda guy and with these 510 mega batteries it’s almost like I have a mod but the more I think of it, maybe it does make sense to get a mod that can use readily available batteries we can get at Radio Shack. These megas I bought even make the juice taste better but I got 8 of them so rather than put 5 away like I had planned I should put them in rotation so they all get used. So then it would make more sense to put money into attys rather than batteries. When the feds do to us what stallions do to mares if we have a mod then all we have to worry about is attys and juice. I’ve seen videos of making juice out of snuff or snus so in an emergency we can fall back on that or squeeze an eggplant or potato or something. Does anyone know what it would take to extract nicotine from other plants? Is it possible to do at home? Can a person grow tobacco indoors? What would it take to get the nic from the leaves....SAFELY?

nebby,
E-juice: buy high sell low? No buy high, store in fridge, mix down.
Tobacco: I guess you could study, learn, but reserve actually making your own NIC juice until later, if things got really really bad. No need to poison yourself now
Batteries: I still go with the use it or lose it position. I rotate my batteries. Just hoping one will die, so I can make another MOD
MODS: Even if you don't like them now, make sure you no how to, or at least be able to make one if you had to. Times get hard, you would vape a cartomizer from a couple of solar cells if you had to.

Attys: seems to be the short straw, well maybe next to juice.
These you could probably do the double bag, 10 year cold storage trick.

You're a hands on guy, why don't you try and make a mod?

Drill, hammer, stuff like that. How about one that would run off a 6 volt lantern? and still be a 6 volt lantern. I mean, just in case things got really tough.

You'd get guidance here.

Rocket

n-puffer,

Not sure if you read this thread from Nuck on making your own tobacco flavoured liquid....or if you're interested, but the process seems to get good feedback for the most part.

Rocket, you went above and beyond with your step by step how-to's on mod making. I'm getting all of it copied, pasted, downloaded onto my machine and I'll put it on a memory stick too just in case. I've never looked down on a mod whatsoever I just thought this 510 does for me what needs done. However.....between yesterday and today my attitude has changed 180. This might sound strange but there are buildings in Denver and Nebraska that as far as I know are still standing and I welded the structural steel in them but I don't have a clue how to solder. You instructions seem to be minimal soldering though. Honestly since until now I haven't been into mods I didn't pay that much attention but that about to change. You're a good man to have around Rocket......don't go away.
Here's a youtube link of an interesting mod

YouTube - Cordless Screwdriver mod E-cigarette

There would be no problem finding your mouth in the dark but a mirror would come in handy.
