I know, not funny. I'd imagine a bird could get deathly sick from just a tiny bit of nic juice.

| Currently undergoing "life testing" or MTBF (Mean Time Between Fries): LeCig's blank D1 cartridge. Fit's the Atty Smasher just fine!
Since this is a disposable we'll see how long it lasts under my grueling tests, but the first one I got from him is still going, and it's been a while!
(And I'll never admit it to Snarky, but this thing is at least as good as a 510...)

| I've been waiting for the "I told You So" also.
Once you burn the filler (remember the photo of the one I overheated?) it's over (unless you can get Stehle to rebuild it for you).
If they get a little packed down and hard to draw some have been rinsing and making homemade centrifuges to dry and fluff. A battery connector and string, swoosh, swoosh could be used I guess to sling them open end out to fluff the filler again.
5+ days on one if I am careful.

I'm a cheapskate. I try to make things last as long as I can. I had one atty that the vapor was really weak on, so I pulled off the cart, put a brand new one on and choked myself on the amount of vapor it was producing. Hmmm....

I think I'm setting a new record here. I also think I'm on my way to killing another.
I have a couple home-made mods, a 'wired' Trailer Park that plugs into the ciggy lighter, and runs at 4.2 volts, one that I'll call the Atty Smasher, that looks like Rocketman's legendary Trailer Park, but connects directly to my computer's PSU 5V supply, and runs 'wide open' (up to 20 amps). I have killed 2 attys with this interesting little device.
I had a BRAND NEW atty (maybe 3 uses) and went to fire it up and...nothing. So I hooked it to the Atty Smasher and held the button for 4 seconds. It now vapes like a bat out of helk...but is also usually the sign that it's about to give up...

| Been a while since I added to this thread. I don't know what I'm doing right...Although I haven't made it to six months on an atty yet, at least they aren't giving up after 3-6 days.
I am now on day 7 of a 510 Cartomizer. Still going strong, but starting to get gummy. A lot of them are gumming up and losing vapor, but not just plain burning out. The cartomizers work well on the Atty Smasher, the one before this one is 3 weeks old but all gummed up. For ~$1.75, I can live with that!

| Glad it seems to be getting easier (you can save atty money to fix the Supra).
I'll swap a D-1 carto out and start a new one after about 3 or 4 days. Sometimes when it's slow at work I'll top off a couple used ones and vape them back to life. Very seldom does a carto fail electrically before it gets just too gummy to vape. The wife is now vaping a trailer park and D-1 cartos. Same juice, same mod, same carto, same batteries and chargers, real easy to keep her going now, and it's next to impossible to break or lose a trailer park (a big plus).
Hope it doesn't turn out to cost a fortune to fix the car.
Rocky

| Hachi, an outfit called Cigtech.com has an 808 "on the go" kit with a 2amp 5v USB car adapter, 808 passthrough and some cartos for $19 might be a nice HV alternative for the road warrior. bikes |
