| I have an atomizer that is getting HOT, you can hear the juice boiling, but there is hardly any vapor being produced at all. I turned it over and blew it out, and it still boils without making steam!
How the helk is this happening?

| I think crud buildup.
Heater wire gets hot, a little liquid leaks in through the crud to the heater, liquid boils, but not enough of the liquid is in direct contact with heater. You may get snap, crackle, pop also as crud heats and breaks up. Might start to vape then but heater has been overheated and probably won't last long.
I think that's what's happening, or not.
Electrically the atty is conducting and generating heat. Just not enough surface contact with liguid to generate enough vapor to be visible. Puff hard, does it taste like "sputter"?

| Yup. I 'cleaned' it with hot water this morning, then let it dry for hours.

| If it ain't working right then it probably won't hurt to try something like the diet coke acid dip. If it is crud options include; chisel, not good choice; high voltage cleaning, not good choice; severe cleaning, might kill it, but it ain't working anyway.
12 hours diet coke, rinse, blow, vape it dry. |

12 hours diet coke, rinse, blow, vape it dry. | I tried cleaning it again with hot water. VG is soluble in hot water, so I gave it a try. A great big black chunk of something came out and before I had a chance to grab it it went down the drain. Kinda looked like a chunk of a horse's tail...ooops.....
It is working, but Thurs AM it was putting out great clouds of great tastingf vapor, now it's a wisp...

| If there are any bridges close by, head out late tonight and try a get another piece of troll hair (that's where they hang out). Abusive/forceful cleaning can flush the troll hair out and there is nothing to hold juice. I think a "bald" atty is now a "dripper". The crud is located down in the "pot" and coats the heater coil. The crud might have used to be VG. Now it is hard baked on crud.

R | LMAO
I think that troll hair is supposed to stay in there!
I slowly but surely pulled out little chunks of troll hair till I could find no more and guess what? A bald troll won't smoke on the water no more!

R | OK. So now I have opened up my second TW Titan atomizer. The first one went...are you ready....drumroll please...MORE than a week, but it was also limited use. It was working fine until Thursday, I put it into "regular rotation" Friday, and Saturday...gummed up and hardly producing vapor. So, once again I ask, WTF am I doing wrong?!?! I keep it wet, I don't let it get HOT-T-T, and yet it still craps out in a week or less.

| Hachi,
have you tried the 801?
big atty, high resistance, big cartridge that doesn't wick well.
Filler needs work, adapter needed, not as much throat hit, but cheap.
The high resistance, maybe due to more resistance wire, larger surface area of the heater could help with burnout. But absolutely needs new filler, and frequent topping off.

Rocky | LOL! It's the one model I haven't tried (atomizer, anyway) because the vox populous is that they SUCK!
Perhaps it's time for an atty, an adapter (are the threads entirely different from a 510 or 901, or a D1/D2?) and some carts...

| zapp him with the laser.
No, use the pc/rb mod at home or around other crazy people.
Good way to find out if you like the 801 though, on the cheap. |

About the only good thing from burning through all these attys...

| Just suggesting trying another model. Even the 901. If you make an order adding one or two little extras saves the shipping on separate items.
Keep experimenting.

R | Yup! I got some 901 battery connectors and made a couple 510-901 adapters already...
I burn out the 901's too.
