| Well eventhough I voted. My true view wasn't a selection.
Here in short my view on monicers.
A: e-cig, for mini cig size devices.
B: PV larger mods single and "multivolt" (multivolt = change batt config for V change)
C: APV for VV devices or possibly for multivolt devices with electronic protections built in.

| PV suits me fine for all manufactured PVs.
I noticed some folks referring to the Smok E Power as an APV. LOL
Just kinda silly how all these store bought PVs are referred to as MODs, kinda like anything with a USB cable plugged in for charging is aromatically declared a passthrough.

| I say just call 'em PV's. Store-bought or homemade.

| Call it whatever the heck you like to call it. People that know what it is don't care and people that don't know what it is are just going to ask a bunch of questions anyway.

| My problem is with the origin,The National Socialists at ECF that decided that APV is what I was to call a mod. Screwem.

That said all mods are still PVs.
Rocket makes mods, as does Berger, Tek and myself to name a few.
Some retailers sell both, PVs and mods. http://www.boxmods.net/
This guy sells both, mods that he built and PVs that he bought for resale. Unfortunately he still calls both types mods.
Re-purposing was quite big for a while (still is), with folks combing local stores for things that would hold a battery. You have probably seen Rockets flashlight creations.
How about a cheap electronic lighter that has been modded?
How about a modded electric pencil sharpener?
Both examples of MODs.
NOT MODs.

| I tried to vote for all three choices. Didn't work.
One of these days a term other than e-cig might be prudent to distance our addiction from tobacco. In some peoples' mind, "Cig" puts us in the same boat as smokers.
But for anyone not familiar with all the terms, e-cig is sort of universally understood.
So, if you are talking to a politician say "personal vaporizer",
a real person say "e-cig".
and for you big battery mod vapers,
"that ain't an e-cig. THIS is an e-cig"
