I possibly know way too much about drugs and poisons...
there was a book...... Title was "World Without Cancer" that I read many, many years ago. I can't find it to buy anymore, lent my copy out and never got it back. It was extremely interesting, and very documentable. One of the things discussed in there was a country that prizes the apricot and its almond. If you are visiting there, and they give you an apricot to eat and you toss the pit, they are very offended. Wish I could remember where it is, but when I read the book, they'd never had a documented case of cancer. Native Alaskans who have stuck to their tribla diet also have had very little incidence, as well as 7th day Advents who've never wavered from their instructed diet. Was an extremely interesting book.

Anyhoo, whenever I eat an apricot, I DO eat the almond in it, peaches, and appleseeds too, but only if I eat the rest of the fruit first. So I bear witness that eating the fruit along with its seed is not necessarily poisonous.

EDIT: I see amazon has some listings of it printed in 1974. Maybe I'll order it again.

they have Keno too and DH hit a $2300 and a $375 pot and then I hit a measly $275.

Sort of...Keno is there, Racetrax is there, but theres a HUGE case of BS from both sides for slots in AACo (Teri. Its up in Hanover/Harmons. Dont know if you know where the Mall was just put up)

And, yes, i do enjoy the numbing effect of cloves. its...calming

I haven't been in Md in 5 years and that was only to visit family. I left there permanently in 1974. Have visited often until DH started working again. I couldn't believe how much the area has grown. It's nothing like it was in the 70's and 80's. it's a whole new world!! Well, except in Calvert and St Mary's County. They just don't like progress down there.
Oh--- we were across the river at my brother's house when the tornado hit LaPlata! What a mess that was!

Friggin idiots.

And, yeah, the clove ejuice isn't very impressive. I stick with my clove analogs

@ Berger. Give you an idea...a pack of 20 camels in PA at the time was about 6.50. A pack of 10 cloves was $7

Here, i pay about $7 for a pack of Camels, and $7.50 for a pack of 10 cloves
Clove cigs are actually WORSE than regular cigs, because the cloves give off another set of chemicals completely, and is very bad for respiration.

Yep. MD tends to not want to 'offend' anyone. MD always has thier decisions made for them. Starting from the 'Catholic Haven' it was created to be, until Protestants got offended - so they made Catholicism illegal, all the way to the Civil War, when Lincoln had to tell the state (via Martial Law) they were North

They are similar to menthol. Menthol re-crystallizes in your alveoli sacks, clove oils will numb them. If you smoke enough of them, it will make breathing harder (as your alveolar sacks are numb, your brain cannot command them to fill)

but, on the bright side, cloves are 1) too strong to oversmoke and 2) additive free, so no rat poison.

I ran across this looking for a good quality clove juice, and found lots of good pointers.

I'll back Cullan on the statement that the numbing sensation is part of the clove experience. Djaruim Blacks are practically the ONLY thing I smoke, and everything he's pointed out right dead on for any clove smoker. And given that they're so much worse for you than regular analogs, It's more of a reason to turn to vaping!

Before I switched to vaping I had switched to only djarum blacks for about 6 months. That is the one thing I miss in vaping. The true clove analogue flavor. I grabbed a sample bottle of kretek from tasty vapors and did not like it at all. I decided to give it a few weeks and see if it would mellow. it's been about a month and I'm still scared to try it again. And someone was correct above mentioning it really stays in the atomizer. Even after a good multi hot water cycle bath it took a few tanks to get it outta my atty. Some day i will revisit it.
