| I've got a Hand Crank AM/FM/Weather Radio, cell charger, flash light. Physically bigger than that one. Thought it would power an atty. Cranked and cranked to charge it's little internal battery, and PUFF, PUFF, puff, pff, pf, - - - - .
You got to be really desperate.
Also tried the little solar charger. Would charge 510 batteries, but would not power a 901 passthru.
Any RC gas flyers out there? I have a thought for a bicycle generator, a 16X10 3 blade prop, and window camera bracket. Hang it out while on a trip.
Or front fender on a bike. Mine aren't running now or I would try it.

Rocket | Funny you should mention Radio Control.
I was also wondering why none of these PVs and mods are using LiPoly batteries since they are so much lighter than Li Ion and the rest. |

I understand they are for the vaporizing of "medicinal herbs." Not liquids at all. And there are much more affordable alternatives. |

Rocket | I'm new to vaping, but I have been flying rc for a few years and I had the same thoughts about using a single cell lipo like the very small indoor helicopters use. one cell would work well and 2 wired in series would be phenominal. I would suspect that most people that are not in the rc hobby would not know how to properly handle these types of batteries and would be a steep learning curve as the lipo's aren't as tolerant to abuse as lithium ion type cells. |

| I don't know much of anything about batteries or electricity (other than it hurts like none other), but I do know a little bit about firearms. Where am I going with this? I have no idea! Alright I'm kidding. When it comes to firearms that are carried and made for self defense, a lot of firearm owners recommend the application of a laser targeting system for your weapon. Well, a company called Laserlyte makes really impressive laser systems that run on really tiny batteries. I'm sure there are other companies that do too, but I'm somewhat familiar with this one.
Any idea if their batteries could be used for an ecig?
Here's a link to their batteries section: Laser Gun Sights Accessories : LaserLyte

| A laser sight draws about 0.08 amps of current at about the same voltage as an e-cig.
An atty draws about 1.5 amps. A few seconds per "shot" would be normal and about 300 "shots" per charge would be expected.
The problem is the difference in power consumed (amps times voltage). A laser that uses the power needed to vape would be it's own weapon.
Here's a rather expensive and dangerous (over $500 and 500mw) laser using a Li-ion battery.
HACHI: this is your ultimate MOD case.

HACHI: this is your ultimate MOD case. | So what you're saying is it'd take a lot of the laser batteries to match the ecig battery, right?

| one puff per battery would be my guess. maybe two.
well a quick check of the silver oxide, non rechargeable SR44, shows 150mah at 1.5 volts.
A stack of three would power an atty almost as long as a super mini e-cig battery. Maybe.
But most button cells can not be recharged.
Could get expensive
In one of the other threads I put up a photo of several Li-ion batteries, from the little 510 to the 18650.
Li-ion chemistry is pretty compact compared to most rechargeable battery systems.
A itty bitty battery will last an itty bitty while.
A bigger battery will last longer, pretty good rule of the thumbs.

| don't toss it out altogether.
You get caught out in the woods with a dozen laser sight button batteries and a dead e-cig, you could get by, but barely. |

HACHI: this is your ultimate MOD case. | Yeah! When the page loaded the mage went by and I thought, "WOW!!! That would work GREAT!!!"
Think I can sell them for $550?
