I got some high nic (48mg) RY4 juice. I was trying to cut it down to 24mg. I added some VG and some Loranne's Bovarian cream. I was well read in the Bovarian Cream and was told by the supplier that it was pure vanilla. It has a HIGH butter taste that I HATE. I am now having to vape what tastes like sweet popcorn!(hate popcorn also) I have ruined one of my ce2 ego cartos that I love. I must be a bigger dumb ass than I thought.)

Nah, we all make mistakes at first. If at first you don't succeed, keep on sucking till you do succeed!

i had the same problem yesterday, but the juice i was vaping tasted good. the problem was i filled up the carto with the orange juice i have, this stuff lingers and is very hard to get the orange taste out of my boge and ce2 cartos. (dont know why, must be some citrus oils in the natural flavoring). what i did to fully clean the carto was i removed all three rubber "o" rings. the last one is the one with the syringe holes in it. be careful when you remove it, you dont wanna rip it. take a small eyeglass flathead and get under the o ring threw one of the two gaps in the white ceramic ring of the cup. (look at picture) the o ring has a lip that fits snug around the creamic cup and seals against the stainless housing of the carto.
Another DIY failure for me-photo.jpg

when you take out the ring notice that the syringe holes are to be vertical and the wick is horizontal. rinse under warn water, let dry or blow out with a shop hose or blow dryer. i fill it with liquid at this point. i just drip down the inside of the carto and let in run down into the cup. about 20 or so drops. replace the main filler ring the way it goes in. if you look at the under side of the ring, and then look into the carto....you'll see how it goes in. holes go vertical while the coil is horizontal. the easiest way to put that o ring back in is to use the back end of the eyeglass screwdriver. plunge it down, and your ready to fill again.

i hope this help ya rose. and that butter popcorn doesnt sound too bad, i love kettle korn lol. does it produce good vapor?

Chris,

Thanks for the info on taking these apart. Not hard to do at all.
He's one of mine that has been abused for a few days, all cleaned up.
Very little evidence of any heat damage, just a slight discoloration.
And maybe just a little more cleaning of the o-rings now that I look at the picture

If you have the o ring out, can't you just fill it before putting it back and see how much you're filling it?

So, the idea is to fill the cup with juice? How does it keep from spilling if you're like me, vaping away, and having to shift gears and the phone rings, and you have to drop the thing on the passenger's seat (no, an Automatic is NOT an option!)

This time yes. Next time no. Might not be totally empty.

Off the top of my head, I would try adding some vanilla flavoring based on PG and alter the taste that way. Might help...might not...

I think the inner most o-ring seals the cup and seats pretty close to the wick. Not much room to leak. Mine don't.

My next question is, since I know you're a cheap ba$t@rd like me, and love to tinker; is that something you actually bought, or is that something new from Rocket Labs?

Store bought
Not into making heaters yet. Not as long as they are available and cheap.

These are like an upside down 510 atty (sort of) fluid wicks up to the heater instead of putting a cart on top. Sort of like the kerosene lamp. That's worked for centuries.

ROSE;
put your 'mistake' in the fridge. Hopefully not a large quantity.
To me, some flavors don't taste right by themselves but might help to smooth out another harsh flavor. Most folks use 10% flavor (more or less) but if you are adding a second flavor then maybe 5% by volume. If you're not sure then 1 or 2%.
I have reduced my unvapable mistakes and consumed the 'pot luck' bottle in the fridge.

Now, if I could get up the nerve to try some more of an awful flavor I bought that looked like it tasted fine in a video, but not in real life. YUK.
But might have been a casualty of ordering e-juice during the summer months.

Start a 'Pot Luck' bottle. If you really are "a bigger dumb ass than you thought", which I doubt (not sure that came out right) start a 'Pot Luck Bucket'

Rocky

I meant the battery. You start making cartomizers, let me know.

ya the orange juice i got from vaporrenew stained the main seal a lil' i had to wash with soap and water. plus this stuff tints my carto filler a lil too, not a big deal.

Maybe you better stay away form butter tasting stuff until you make sure it doesn't have Diacetyl in it!

Chris, your picture looks like 2 different CE's? The ceramic cup ring is much thicker and the filler rings look totally different? Are these version 1 and version 2, which is which?

BTW the Banana Nut Bread from VaporRenu is really good! I'm ordering the bacon and waffels on my next order. I also want to find something to try and mix with menthol, maybe cherry? With the menthol I use less I guess because the flavor lingers much longer.

ya i'm scared to vape my RY4 now, crazy stuff. well as for the two cartos its a good thing you asked. (i would have a pic but its to hard to focus on them) i traded Rose a cartomizer for cartomizer the other day because i was picky about a color, good thing i did! both cartos work well, but are different. the battery ends on the ones Rose bought from vaporjuntion are deeper, they run almost all the way up to the base of the cartomizer. the ones that i bought from awesomevapor stop halfway like an SLB cartomizer. the ohm rating on mine are 2.5, i'm not sure what they are on the vaporjunction ones....but im thinking they are different. the threads both seem to be steal, and they both work great, but i prefer the vaporjuntion ones because of the longer threads. i'm going to email vaporjunction and what the ohms are on theirs are. more than likely they will be 3ohm. i'm wondering what edition these are also, so far i think there are 4 different versions of ce2's.

(BTW, the one on the left is a vaporjuntion ce2.)

okay well i just got an email from Travis at vaporjunction. turns out their CE2 cartomizer
are 3ohm. awesomevapors are 2.5ohm. now if we could onmy get info on the clousofvapor ones. i'll bet theirs are 2.5. theres not that much of a difference between the two, 2.5 runs just a lil' hotter and vapes faster than 3.0 ones.

That makes sense if the one on the left is the lower resistance i.e. hotter and the ceramic cup is thicker. The ones I got are apparently 2.5 and boxed in royal smoker boxes but they are all extra long so they may be newer I think version 4.
I also have been using the ego with the cone on which restricts air flow substantially. Your right the throat hit isn't a whole lot even with the high option but for flavors it it seems right to me IMHO

good thing is i can now try a 3.0ohm and a 2.5ohm and see which i like better. might take me a few runs with different juices, but i'm sure it will be the 2.5 because i'm so used to the vapor production on my 2.0ohm LR boge cartos. i still think the vapor off my boges are the ultimate in vapor, but taste is always so-so with cartos.
