I ordered a new 808D-1 to 510 thread adapter from goodejuice.com. received it a few days ago and it did not work at all... tried all of my 510 cartos, including my boge LR carto because i thought it could have been the resistance, but apparently it wasnt. i called them and they said it's adjustable?? i see no place to put a screwdriver into to "adjust" it. am i doing something wrong or something? am i supposed to order a very specific adapter for my pigcig?? i am bewildered 0.0. they said if i sent it back they would send me a new one, but before i do that i want to be sure im not being stupid.

Yeah, they're tricky, that's for sure!

I've got one myself, but the reverse. (510 converted to 808)

It won't work on my generic 510 batt connector, but it does when I connected a shorty 510, INTO my 510 and THEN the adapter.....go figure?

So it looks like: 510 batt connector, then a 510 shorty connector, then the 510 to 808 adapter, then an 808 cartomizer!

Nice huh?

The center pin inside the adapter..when you look down inside it from the end there is a pin section dead in the middle surrounded by an isolator that is likely black..looks like a little O ring from where your looking...???

Dude....solid metal is called a SHORT CIRCUIT!!!!!!!!!!

Your batteries don't like short circuits.

Also, do NOT mess with the pin inside the PV itself, because they have a thin insulator and if you break it you have....a short circuit. And have to buy a new one.

Are you using CE2s, or...? Since a carto is about $1.75, try pulling the center pin on the carto out very gently and see if it makes contact. That way you're only out $1.75 and have to open a new carto...NOT order a new PV!
