| Sorry to vanish like vapor- I'm still lurking, but you all know how life can get!
There's a million things to talk about, but it's a particular juice dilemma that brings me home to jabber, and true to my taste buds, it's a fine detail flavor issue.
I got hooked on the 555 from Vapor Country and if any of you shop there, you know, it's in limbo in perpetuum. Yeah- I know... there's a million Tres Cincos, but I know I'm not the only 555 smoker here, and I imagine I'm not the only one who's recognized the weird "rodenty" flavor that most of them seem to sport. I can't bear that- mom ran a pet shop when I was a kid, and it gives me kinda gross flashbacks. (don't get me wrong, I'm an animal lover-but I have no interest in vaping gerbil turds. XD )
What I consider a "strange, mousey aftertaste" is probably one of the things others actually enjoy- I've mostly identified it as cedar shavings. Doesn't taste like cedar smoke so much as damp cedar shavings, a bit like the inside of an old blanket chest.
Vapor Country's 555 is the only one I've ever found that lacked that strange element, and I'm loathe to throw good money after bad ordering endless samples that are PROBABLY going to taste that way. I had a hope that some of the experienced 555 smokers here could steer me toward the less-mousey (less cedary) 555 juices.
So far, I've tried Vapor Country, and give their three fives five stars. Also, Good Prophets and Flavor Apprentice's DK, which despite it's name, is actually supposed to resemble 555, and both of those are in fact extra mousey. The 555 from Vapors Etc. isn't mousey at all, but does seem rather more muddy than nutty. I know I've tried others, though they aren't coming to mind just now.
Any advice for the flavor gal?

| Hey Flash, glad to see ya back and love your juice reviews. Sorry I can't help you on 555s. I tried Vapors Etc but it had an overly burnt taste to me that sort of scared me away from trying others. Berger did send me a sample of one with menthol from Vapor Renu and I actually liked that one. Could taste the nutty flavors in it but the menthol may mask some of the flavor so I will probably try the regular w/out menthol soon. |

| I've been vaping Backwoods Brew 555, haven't noticed a mousy or cedary flavor. In fact, I've yet to get a bad tobacco flavor from them.

My tastebuds and sensabilities aren't as finely tuned as yours and my current 555 is CCC
Cheap Chinese Crap; but i think you've found the right descriptor of cedar chips for a side note in 555;sorry,mine has it.
Stop by and see us every now and then,more frequently would be nice.
