| Another question. Can a lr(1.8-2.2) cartomizer be used "safely" at 4.3 volts or should i just stick to using them at 3.7 and use standard (2.8-3.2) res cartos at that voltage? I looked thru the forums and tried to do the math, but.....some things i just can not wrap my mind around-sadly math is one of them. oh and what about dual coils? ive heard some people say that they use them up to 7volts?
thanks! |

| I heard some people vape direct from a car battery.

thanks! | NP. I have homemade powered unit set for 4.2V (AHEM, Bikes!), but limited internally to 2.25 amps, and I get up to two weeks or more out of them. They gum up rather than burn out.
At 4.2V they draw 2.1 amps, and the circuit can provide about that at 4.2V, so I get a full hit. They taste OK, not really good, but not bad, and put out enough steam to lose James Bond in a fog.

| So you have a VV mod that you can dial in to these voltages?
4.3V with a DC will require about 2.7A, that's a lot. The well regarded ProVari can't do it.

thanks! | It's not hard: E=I*R, or Voltage = Current(AMPS) * Resistance. swap them around to find the other.
So, if you have 4.3 volts and your carto is ~2 ohms, then 4.3/2.0=2.15 (amps)
or, 4.3V/3=1.43 amps. For wattage, multiply amps*volts, so the 2 ohm that's 9 watts
and the other is 6.15. Most vapers find the sweet spot somewhere ~7-8 watts, but of course personal preference is the deciding factor.
