So I just heard a rumor that they are stopping production on the 36Mg strength e-liquid due to trying for FDA approval. Is this true or just a rumor? I just purchased the Prodigy V1 and have heard that it probably won't matter a whole lot to me because the throat hit is much higher with lower strengths of e-liquid, but I was just curious.

Anybody hear anything about 36Mg going away for everybody?

I have already seen some suppliers in China pulling 36mg/ml stuff from their stores.

There's a small new-start U.S. supplier making his own 35mg/ml. He'll probably message you if you ask. If you do a search for 36mg his doesn't show.

That's cool Rocketman! I would love to find some more 36Mg when things start to get low for me. I've got like 8 bottles of the stuff - but I hear that it's almost impossible to vape with the screw driver because it's so much hotter... here's for hoping that I can step down and not miss the reduction of strength!

I looked at the advertised specs on the Prodigy. I wonder about the 3.0volt battery. There are 3 volt and 3.6 volt Lithium rechargeable batteries out there. My homemade uses 10440 3.6 volt, and I'm thinking of using a 18650 in my next one. My 901 atomizers seem to quit vaping when the under load voltage goes under 3.0 volts. The little 10440 AAA size stays above 3.0 volts, under atomizer load for quite a while. Low voltage gives me weak hits.
When your Prodigy gets in let us know how well it works. Post a review. Nothing against any seller, buy always nice to hear a real review. When the web is abuzz with positive reviews then a product must really be hot.

Well the Prodigy should be here any day now. I just checked the website and found that they have finally shipped my order! Yay! I've been waiting for over a month for them to finish production so I'm pretty stoked!

As I understand it, they are using 2 3V bats in series (like a flashlight) to give a total of 6 volts! I'm having a feeling that I'm going to be getting atomizers in bulk. ha! But according to Steve at puresmoker - the hits are MUCH stronger - so I might be able to drop my e-liquid strength down a bit. But I will gladly post a review once I get them. I even got the pass-through device at the same time so I didn't have to wait for the batteries to charge! I'll post my review once I get it!

If it's using 6.volts then the hits will be stronger. Low battery voltage makes the hits weak as ------- . A litlle "self control" will be necessary I guess to keep the atomizer alive, but then again, they are about the cheapest part of the ecig. I can tell you this, a pair of CR123As are going to outlast a whole bag of normal ecig batteries. Please post a "users' review.

Update to previous list Helios 32mg/ml is really 36mg/ml website typo.
That makes quite a few still available. Probably some I missed.

Any suplier looking for FDA registration has filed down their liquid mg to 26mg max.

Johnson Creek has registered their products with 24mg max.
Other suppliers have done the same.

The liquid will be the scrutinized deliverable product here, not the personal vaporizers.

I'll be buying one of these if the hardware is banned:

How about a portable nebulizer, you know the ones medical insurance companies charge a $100 bucks for COPD patients. The med is albuterol. Big and bulky but wouldn't be hard to get your doctor to order one, insurance pays for it, you could vape (special juice) anywhere. Sounds silly, but could work if things really got bad. I've got one somewhere here in the house, might just get a new mask, and try it out.

I hope the voluntary reduction to 24mg/ml and "registration" holds the FDA off for a while. If it looks bad I'll up my stash from a one year reserve to a two year reserve. I hope to one day be happy with 6 to 10mg stuff anyway. That would mean I already have over two years in the freezer. Registration ain't approval, not yet. Hope they don't try to stop it all. The 36mg/ml list is primarily for mixers. some might vape 36 but I look for it so I can mix and play. If the 48 comes in stock, I'm gonna "wipe them out"
Rocket.

I'm went down to 18mg on my current juice order.

The high mg juice is making me a little paranoid...mabye not paranoid but I still feel a little maxed out with the 24 and above in my 901. I can put anything I want in my 401 and feel safe vaping it for a few hours.

My 36 and 48 juice is getting put away for the apocalypse for now. I have about 100ml combined. This will be good for mixing later on.

did you mean 1000ml, 100ml is not an adequate apocalyptic stash

will probably have to get nicotine from the Himalayan Goji berry.

I think I've almost got enough e-cigs to last a while so now I'll be spending most of my money on juice. I'll never have enough e-cigs but for a while I do. There are so many plants that have nic in them like egg plant, pototos, (pototoes?) er uh taters, even tomatos have nic from what I've read. I wonder if a person would have to have a laboritory to extract nic from these plants? Oh well, it's just a thought.

nebraska,
It hard not to get into a little spending frenzy. Having spare parts is one thing, but there are too many models out there to have them all. I've narrowed done to 901s for the wife, and 501s for me, Spare parts are key to keeping these alive. The dragon would be nice to show off, probably will get one just because.
I also agree that juice is necessary just in case the FDA causes us pain. Must have enough to slowly get off nicotine at my own pace. Each time I think I have enough, I have to mix up another batch to use, and the stash doen't look big enough. The strong stuff seems to be driffing toward unflavored for those that want to mix. That sounds like a good way to go. Sell low stuff to the public in limited flavors that don't appeal to kids, and make stronger stuff available for the DIYer. That 48mg stuff out there, if it comes back in stock is high enough for me to store. That would keep most folks out of the pure stuff.

Just did an inventory of juice. including all NIC juice in the house
(48 and 36 in freezer, 36, 24, 18 in fridge, 18-20 dispensed) I could mix it all together and make 1.93 liters of 12mg/ml juice. At 4ml a day for each of us that's only 8 months. You don't realize how much you need until you add it up. Thought I had more. Just think if I had bought 12mg/ml stuff at $0.50/ml

Sorry for editing your quote, but the key word for me is "store".

I'm planning a big purchase of 48mg. (Just in case.)

How do you store your liquids Rocketman?

Thanks in advance!

Stehle, I suggest leaving the original seal intact on as many as you can. Zip lock (blue freezer bags) them in small groups and and then into a small Tupperware container. Inside the bag list the strength (important info), flavor if any, supplier (in case you ever need to sue ), date, and other comments like "WARNING - THIS IS POISON- CONTAINS NICOTINE" This applies for long term Freezer storage, or short term Refrigerator storage. Segregate by strength (keep the 48 by itself). Rocket

That is a great way Rocket! Very detailed and concise! Thank you! ]

I started a similar thread in another forum asking the members what the best way was to store liquid that they had found.

Here are the results so far... Best Way to Store E-Liquids

I found the answers a bit confusing and many in conflict to others. No one even mentioned the long term freezing that you mentioned.

It sounds good to me though, it makes sense for my large long term 48mg storage dilemma that I mentioned earlier.

Thanks for your input Rocket!

I'll go for the freezer storage, I don't how it could damage the juice. Mixed up stuff may take a 'set' and need to be mixed a little when it warms up again. Refrigerator would probably be adequate for mixed juice. Sealed is best, keeps the outside stuff outside and the inside stuff inside. Keep stuff clean, use of various solvents have been discussed here before.
But your reference link brought me to this, just have to share:
"my juice stays hidden under my mattress, along with a shotgun, shotgun shells, and a bass pro fishin hat". That has gotta be one of my relatives.

I can mix up close to 500ml of vapeable liquid with 100ml of 36 & 48 combined. I think the math works out to like 10.5mg stuff. If I consume approx. 3 ml per day that would give me like 166 days.

You're right I need more!!

You are in trouble, that's not even 6 months. Only one in your house is vaping?
