Try not to puff when the cart goes dry. Wait a minute and more juice may wick to the atomizer keeping it at a safe (for you and the hardware) temperature. If not, change cartridges or add juice. The big advantage to the e-cig is the lack of dangerous chemicals, as compared to burning tobacco, in the vapor. Getting the little heating coil in the atomizer really really hot sort of defeats the advantage. When it starts tasting like a burning plastic mop bucket - STOP. That is not nicotine, cake flavoring, PG or VG you are tasting. Your senses are telling you - "this ain't good", rely on them. The vaporizer can get very hot if there is no heat load to absorb the heat generated. The pot has boiled dry turn off the stove. People that report "loads of vapor" have got it right. Nuff said, vape away.

| I feel kinda dumb asking, but is it dangerous to get e-liquid on your skin at all? I've been reading how poisonous nicotine is in a liquid form, and how the tinies drop on the skin can kill you, but I don't know if that applies to e-liquids for the cartomizers or what. I have heard people talk about how much more cost efficient filling your own cartomizers is, and how the flavor and vapor is better, but I just wanted to get some feed back on if e-liquid is safe for a clutz like me to handle lol. |

It could very likely cause a rash and if you go to rubbing your eyes or face could develop a rash/irritation there as well. |

The FDA has created a "run" on e-juice. By not questioning the traceability of the contents of our juice, just searching for the "best price" we may be creating an outlet for all the leftovers that juice manufacturers had trouble getting rid of. I'm not talking about crappy tasting juice, but juice that has the potential for damaging your health over the long term. Be cautious of the "too good to be true" deals. Saving a couple of dollars may not be the most important aspect of building a stash of e-juice. I'll summarized a few of my concerns, maybe you will come up with others. 1) Remember this stuff is poisonous. Yea you could probably eat a 901 cartridge full of 48mg/ml and not get sick, but that 30ml bottle of 48 can be DEADLY. Got kids, pets? Look at your stash and try to guesstimate how many people that could kill. For the long term, vape contaminated juice for a couple of months and you may need to line up all your genetically similar relatives as potential kidney donors. Watch out for false claims, like PG being a water based chemical. It ain't, look it up. And Glycerin is glycerin, it ain't. There's synthetic, and natural, and even vegetable natural (no pig fat), and even more than one way of processing vegetable based glycerin. These ingredients are chemically similar to some ugly nasty chemicals. Know that you have quality stuff. 2) Cleanliness is often overlooked with e-cigs, components, and juice. How many people have handled that bottle by the time you put it in the fridge? Did you disinfect it first? And what if you do your own flavoring and mixing? How much attention to cleanliness did you pay to your process? 3) Long term storage of e-juice is still up in the air. Simple unflavored mixtures may be more stable for building a long term stash. Elevated temperature and exposure to UV radiation will degrade most chemical mixtures. One day out in a hot car during the summer could permanently alter e-juice. Most suppliers recommend cool, dry and dark with 40F in the home refrigerator being acceptable for several months. The home freezer at about 0F may seem really really cold, but to PG and VG it's not. There are not too many reactions that are sped up by chilling liquid mixtures and the ingredients in unflavored e-juice, if stored with a balanced pH, should be stable much longer than burgers and ice cream you store in the freezer. Chilling and thawing may cause the ingredients to separate. Always completely thaw and thoroughly remix bottles before dispensing any juice. 4) Pay attention to your senses. If a bottle of juice makes you sick to your stomach, gives you the shakes, calls out to you in your sleep, it might not be any good. Over vaping can cause similar symptoms, take a break. But if the little voices come back listen to them.
