Techniques for puffing on an e-cigarette are much different than smoking a tobacco cigarette. This is one of the most off-putting things for people coming in from traditional smoking. However, once you understand you need to do this, and start changing the way you drag, you'll be vaping in no time!

Generally, dragging takes a little more effort. It's not as automatic as a tobacco cig. Many will need to suck in, fill up their mouth with smoke, and then inhale to lungs. This is more in tune with how people smoke "marijuana". Even if you've never done that, think about how you see folks do it in movies, and somewhere between that and inhaling a real cig is where you will be with an e-cigarette.

Primer Puffs. You need to get your atomizer hot before it can generate vapor. So, many people do a "primer puff". This is a quick inhale without the intention of actually vaping anything. You just turned on the atomizer real quick. This heats it up. A second later or so, you can then do your inhale as you normally would. And the vapor will be as it should be. Practice with this if you need too, some models need it more than others.

Rapid Fire. Because of the above mentioned "needing to heat the atomizer" - people do rapid fire puffing. This is several short and quick puffs. It allows the atomizer to heat up and cool down several times in a couple seconds. If done right, this can "trick" the atomizer into thinking you weren't dragging for more than 5 seconds, and allow you to vape longer than that (Many models have a cut off period for how long you can inhale, so you don't burn out the atomizer.)

More to come!

I have found its generally best to take soft (just hard enough to light it) long drags, in rounds of about 3-5 drags. I allow 1-2 minutes between "rounds" for cooling.

I have found its generally best to take soft(just hard enough to light it) long drags, in rounds of about 3-5 drags. more drags will overheat the atomizer and burn it out quickly(and ruin the cart material), as well as not allow the liquid to "wick" fast enough from the cart to the atomizer.less drags wont heat up the atomizer enough to give good vapor. i allow 1-2 minutes between "rounds" for cooling and wicking(they cool pretty quick, let it get to just above room temp.)This is my technique with the rn-4075(dse-901), and unlike others, my cart material is still fine after a month(with just 1 cart!) and my atomizer still works like new after a month.no burnt smell, taste, or black gunk that i can see in the atomizer.oh, and i have never cleaned the atomizer or cart material, and don't plan to.does not appear to be necessary unless you overdo it and start to "burn" everything.

I am having a hard time vaping with my puresmoker PeeWee. I cant seem to get a good drag consistently. I usually get a primer hit then i will drag into my mouth then inhale. Sometimes it works but other times it takes 4 to 7 primer hits to actually get any vapor!
And then sometimes I get kinda of a burnt plastic taste even with new carts. I have a feeling that I might have received a bad atomizer. I only say that because the batteries were kinda dirty looking and scratched. As though it was used. Also there was oil on the atomizer when i got it. I shouldn't have had oil on the atomizer. So i think it was used.

I don't know anything about the items you received, however I know it's not that unusual to have some primer leak on new product.

I just started with the Peewee myself and there;s definatley a learning curve to these and probably all e-cigs.
After about a week I'm starting to get more consistant hits. One key is to put a piece of tape over one of the atomizor holes. There;s two.
When I first fire it up I take maybe 2 quick hits to warm up atomizot and after that initial warm up one quick hit and then a good draw on it.
Again it;s gotten better but still a little inconsistant.Covering one of the holes makes a big diff,
I'm refilling my carteidges with the juice and again just getting it down,
So obviously a strong battery charge, and juice in the cartridge are essential.
Again I'm still learning but it;s getting better.

I do seem to be getting it down better now. However, I think i need to get a higher nic level. im using smoking everwhere carts which i was able to purchase in the mall till i receive my ejuice from JC. The carts are high level but only 12mg or so. I just crave an analog though everytime i smoke my ecig and go through 6-10 carts a day.

I use a 901 at home and a 401 at work.

Afer using these for a month now, I find the most satisfying hit I can take is the old "French Inhale" technique.

I have read that most of the vaporized nic is absorbed in the oral and nasal cavaties and trying to draw the vapor way down into your lungs is really a waste of time.

Try the French style, you may like it.

The french inhale is great. I do that with my 510 yummy also with my 306. I would also try the hold it in method with a higher nic cart or juice...

I am using manual batteries, they work much quicker and better. I also have different batteries and adapters so I can mix and match. I never had a battery burn out.
Right now I am using 510 and 901 with Kr808D cartomizers, and bought two super kr808d-1 super batteries which are absolutly great

dont know about the used battery part, but the oil on your atty is put there when its made. it should be kinda milky lookin, turn the atty upside down on a paper towel and dry fire it for a few seconds to melt that gunk outta there.
