Actually, I thought that was a pretty smooth color! | For a moment, I had the threads confused, and I thought I'd come in the latter part of a discussion about the "Prius mod." I had a brief flash of somebody hooking up the exhaust from the internal combustion part to the air vents, and using the electric motor to atomize e-juice dumped into the carbs on the engine. I could just imagine somebody using the system that recharges the batteries when you step on the brakes to pump watermelon-scented fog into the cab as they stuttered along, alternately stomping on the gas pedal, then the brake, then the gas pedal, brake, gas, brake...
Hell, for a week now, I've been thinking seriously about sucking on the end of a flashlight, for cryin' out loud, so anything's possible. |

I prefer the 510, because I was a pack a day Camel smoker (or, a 'herd a day', as a friend of mine says...) and the 510 is a hard hitting ecig.
If more flavor and less vapor is your thing, a Joye 306 or one of the minis is better.
Feel free to ask, there are a lot of people here to help you! Just remember, everyone has a preference. I tried an 84mm mini, a 901 and a 510 before deciding. It cost about $120 to decide what was for me, and then the cost went down. |
Hi - Sorry to interrupt, I'm a newbie and I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but what do all the numbers mean? I have been doing a lot of googling & reading on a lot of different forums, trying to figure out how to decide my first e-cig order and I keep seeing numbers, like the ones in your post (510, 306, 901, DSE107, M402, RN4075.....etc, etc), but I can't seem to find explanations for them. I've gathered that they must be model numbers, but what do they do, what are the differences, how do I know which one to choose? I'm a 30yr, less than one-half pack per day, smoker of Benson&Hedges regular.
Thanks for any help or link you can give me! |

| If you check at the very top there is a model guide...look that over and see more about each...The big thing is threads between batteries and cartomiser or atomizer are different form type to type so everything is not interchangeable from one to another
feel free to ask questions after you look around..there are plenty of people to answer questions in the forum
try out the introduce yourself thread..

| I'd say to start with the 510 or 808-D1, since that seems to be where most people end up after trying other types. Let our experimentation save your wallet.

My wallet so needs saving! This was such a daunting task when I started doing research about two weeks ago - I still don't know much, and I can't believe how much there IS to know (I wish I had a glossary of terms!). It is looking like, as you said, I should get a 510. Now, I need to know which 510? Do all vendors have one? Are they all the same? Do they all look the same?
Also, I looked for an 808-D1 on this site, but couldn't find it in a search. Is it like a 510? |

| OK 510 and 808 refer to the threading type more then anything else now a days..
my suggestion is this as we all end up there fairly soon anyway..
get a 510..more of it around and you can get adapters to use 808 stuff or you could do the opposite and go 808 if you really want...but get something at least 650 mah like a riva kit or an ego kit or a pig cig kit or a mach 2 kit..doesn't really matter in the long run but anything smaller usually ends up put aside fairly quickly because of the shorter battery life..
trust me on this one..a little more money up front is going to save you much more later...
I would try the suppliers in the hype section that post here..that way they can answer your questions and have a lot of incentive to treat you well...
