| Ecigarettes usually come with 3 major components. A rechargeable battery, an atomizer, and a tip/cart. The battery and atomizer have male/female threads that allow them to be screwed together. The tip/cart then plugs into a hole, or slides onto the other end of the atomizer.
There are also styles which have an atomizer and cartridge combined into one piece, which then just screws onto the battery.
E-Cigars and E-Pipes have the same general components, but look and attach differently. More on that to come.

| I humbly request that the learned and wise (cracking) members here @ VapeAtron would be so kind as to address the above title "Cartomizers vs. Atomizers or Dripping vs. Wicking" I think an in depth discussion would be beneficial to this thread... and the noobs like myself who will read it.
This is where all the action is (vaporization). How come there isn't more discussion about the parts that actually vaporize the fluid and the fluid control system?
I trust y'all to provide an entertaining and enlightening read...

We kinda do better with straight forward structured questions as opposed to a free for all.... Lol, you've been here long enough to know why, right?

| you do have a point...Ive always wondered why attys are so expensive compared to cartos.. I know they have the nickle foam bridging over the coil assembly but underneath they look pretty much the same as a small CE coil...silica cord wrapped in kanthal or nichrome..not sure which the Chinese actually use..
perhaps the base assembly is slightly different but still doesnt seem made of unobtanium or anything
To me if you look at a carto that looks as complex as an atty does...
